Featuring, a rather surprising visitor, in the form of a zebra finch! Also, some late flying butterflies and hawthorn berries.
We are having our last work party of the year this Sunday (28th Sept), so please come along and give us a hand (anytime between 9.30 - 11.30)- there is lots to do! Hopefully see you there.

The orchids are looking rather wonderful at the moment!

The orchids are starting to flower, so are well worth a visit.
Also, the cattle will be turned onto the Green in the next week or so.

There is a lot of bird activity at the moment, including one of our lovely summer visitors, the whitethroat. Plus orange-tip butterfly on ladies smock...with an egg. Finally, how about some delicate brooklime?

Really thrilled to have heard a water rail on the Green yesterday! A rare visitor indeed. He was skulking by the brook, in the very overgrown and boggy area.
