Absolutely. I also like how we always try to explain our gut feelings to each other and to listen to each other in doing that. Helps so much in understanding where each of us is coming from and clarify where we want to go with this game.

What I learned: Pasión de las Pasiones absolutely *requires* players to play proactively towards the moves, much more than other PbtA games.
The GM can only set up situations and hope the characters won't behave like reasonable people but like emotion-driven over-the-top telenovela characters! 😅

The game is set at a fashion magazine, inspired by Ugly Betty, Glamorous, and The Devil Wears Prada. We have the editor-in-chief (Doña), her new assistant (Empleada), a model (Belleza), and a photographer (Caballero) as PCs. #pnpde
Oh yeah, we absolutely deep-dive into mechanics, text structure, layout, sometimes illustrations, and whatever else interests us and examine what these things do in each particular game. I've absolutely changed my mind about a bunch of games in the process (in either direction), which is great.
I've been running a bi-weekly TTRPG reading circle for almost three years now for which I usually read the full game. I read lots of small games inbetween, lots of skimming of others. It's still less reading than I'd like but long chunks of uninterrupted time for focused reading have become rare.

I don’t really give a shit about moralizing if someone is a “good” or “bad” person. What I care about is if you’re contributing to harm, and if you’re doing so knowingly, because it tells me a) you’re ok with that and b) as a trans person I shouldn’t trust you to actually show up for me.
