Yeet on command! #SmolPaul
Mickey Two Meals remains elusive. Not seen him regularly at all for a while.
Jimmy White is getting more used to me now. That abscess above his eye seems to have resolved itself, just needs to scab over.
He's open to getting a fuss. Maybe he'll want to stay at some point. I'd love to take him for some medical treatment.
Ah, I noticed your post about anticipating an appointment. That used to happen to me all the time to the extent I stopped going.
I'm *absolutely not recommending* doing that, but for me the anxiety of anticipating regular appointments made me feel worse than when I was attending them.
A ridiculous tuxedo cat gawps at me from his position by my feet, waiting to be served my lamb curry, which he definitely wouldn't actually eat if I gave it to him
Lamb curry
One of the strays I'm feeding, Jimmy White, turned up with an abscess above his eye the other day. I saw them rolling around fighting each other last week.
I think Pablo might have caused it. I hope not, but I can't think of any other cat he's had a go at.
Pablo has an injured paw. He can't put any weight on it so he's hopping around like a kangaroo.
I thought he'd thrown himself off a roof and landed badly, maybe broken his arm, but he was examined under anaesthetic and they found a bite.
He's been scrapping, the little bugger.
Hey man, I'm alright ta. Better now the spring is here. How are you and Jonesy?
Owning cats, I had a £230 vet bill last week. Owning libs though - seems like another league
That's excellent. This one came back around on my feed recently: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8Y1...
Ooh she'd very pretty. What are the skincare cream and collar for?
Good news, I'm glad.
I haven't been keeping up with Bluesky for a while now, so I've just seen the news about Tasha. You were the best of friends and you made her last years really special. I'm so sorry for your loss.
It's a really admirable thing you do when you take in a rescue cat; even more so with an elderly cat.
A ridiculous tuxedo cat, a fat little dude, looking at me with longing eyes because he wants my pigs-in-blankets sausage roll. Tbh I don't really get what's pigs-in-blankets about it because like all sausage rolls have a pig and a blanket? Hmm. I may have been swindled
Smol Paul looking at things of mine he wants to eat: an occasional thread (the one on Twitter is several years old now!).
To begin: sausage roll
There's another stray moggy on the scene at the moment: Mickey Two Meals. He's been coming to the garden and getting fed.
I've put a bit of shelter out for him. Not sure if we'll take him in yet. Just playing it by ear.
Yeah, I'm doing alright, ta. Sorry I'm not around on hear much, I've been avoiding social media for a while now, and not looking at the news much for a less gloomy outlook.
Are you and Jonesy doing ok?
Thanks. Now I've got the Kickstart theme tune in my head.
Four photos of a ridiculous tuxedo cat sleeping in positions that not only look incredibly silly but also really uncomfortable? Like how do you sleep well with both your front leggies stretched up in the air for hours? How are you not stiff when you wake up? What are you dreaming about with your leggies all over the place? Oh Paul, you make NO SENSE
Smol Paul sleeping positions, in ascending order of ridiculousness
I don't even know where to start. There's a lion. There's a bear. Both of them are cats. It looks like a nightclub at 3am when the lights come on suddenly
Our fosterer has just sent the best cat picture I've ever seen
Now I'm just fantasising about Tories in plate armour charging into a hail of bodkin arrows
Ooh, alt text. At first I thought it was an alternative method. I got all excited. A fitted sheet Rosetta Stone gif.
A perfect orange tabby boy on his own little pillow, head on tail
Sometimes I wish we could tell them that when it looks like we're ignoring them for the big black rectangle, we're actually capturing the memory of how beautiful they look
Excellent work. When I was doing this in the 80s we used fine-point, black pilot pens to dot the pupils. That worked well too.
I quite liked the paint jobs on those skeletons. Some nice dry brushing and some decent bronze effects on their gear.
Those remind me of when they started using slotted black plastic bases with the name tag on the miniature. I visited the Citadel factory/workshop when I was a kid.
I always found with snooker/pool one, maybe two pints would give me an edge, the third pint - forget it.
Haha, this is pretty much my experience with Scorsese's The Irishman.
Yeah, it wasn't the same after GTA 3. There was an enormous satisfaction in flying a full size plane that had a 4m wingspan.
It would crash every time, but just getting it to fly for more than one block, it felt like success.
Great pictures. Publishable quality.
