Digital illustration created with overlapping green and orange linear halftones in Procreate, depicting shoots of grass emerging from drifts of snow.
Hoping that this is the last of our winter weather here in Minneapolis 🤞😬

Thanks very much and totally agreed — I always appreciate when folks are willing to show the creative chaos going on behind the scenes!
This is my brain on color 😵💫
Digital palette tests and linear burn experiments from my recent illustration for The Gullet
Decision making is the most difficult part of the art process for me, so I find this strategy of boxing myself in to be strangely liberating. These self-imposed rules transform the blank page into a puzzle game, making a maze for my little rodent brain to explore.
The final illustration, showing all three overlapping color layers: orange + blue 1 + blue 2
Two overlapping color layers: orange + blue 1

Two overlapping color layers: blue 1 + blue 2
It's built out of one orange layer and two blue layers, using the linear burn blend mode to create the limited palette seen in the final illustration. Selectively layering these two colors can produce a surprising range of tones and effects, while also ensuring a harmonious and cohesive end result.
A peek behind the curtain to show the printmaking-inspired digital approach from my recent illustration for The Gullet...
That's so lovely, thanks very much!

Absolutely surreal to see my ICE OUT illustration featured during last week’s protest poster projection event at the Witch’s Hat Tower in Prospect Park— big thanks to ArtYouHeart, Second Sight Visuals, and Nate Meyer for putting together an incredible showing!

Proud to be a small part of this incredible pop-up protest poster wall at MCAD 🚫🧊
Many thanks to the anonymous signal chat photographer for documenting the space!
The ICE invasion has put a lot of people who were formerly getting by in extra danger of financial ruin, including the looming possibility of eviction. Please give them some help if you’re able by donating to a rent fund. ⬇️
Every little bit helps. Thank you!
But seeing the way that our community has cared for each other makes me think that this is what fighting back can look like; making sure that all of our neighbors are warm, safe, sheltered, and fed. And together we’ll keep growing, no matter what.
A digital illustration depicting a glowing greenhouse full of plants surrounded by a snowy winter environment, with letters written in the snow spelling out "KEEP GROWING".
I drew this at the end of last year with the intention of sending it out into the world as a “Happy New Year” card, but as 2026 unfolded the positive message felt so out of step with the dire situation on the ground here in Minneapolis...
Today’s the final free entry day to check out the “ICE OUT” Protest Poster Show from ArtYouHeart & Can Can Wonderland — but the online fundraiser continues!
My poster design was inspired by…
