Here are a few more from last week’s visit!
They’ve got a Mucha exhibit opening to the public today that’s also amazing!
I feel like, if your submission fee is over $3 and you’re sending me rejection letters saying you enjoyed the piece and inviting me to submit again, you ought to include a line about how it missed the mark.

Sweet Brown! I think about her all the time. Thanks, Ti!
an email found me well today but then it rejected my story so the next email will find me suspicious and guarded against being hurt again
Thank you. I tried something different. It went over well in workshop, but didn’t work with publications. I’m frustrated at having spent the time on it and, most of all, at the expense of submitting just to find out it’s not working.
Thanks, Zane. I got a good chuckle out of that!
Feeling utterly discouraged and frustrated as a writer today, which is not my typical mode. Drop your favorite GIF to cheer me up?
Said the same thing about 15 minutes ago, as I turned it on.
I owed. It hurt. I drank.
Hope all’s well!
Finished my taxes. Great thing about writing for a living: deducting the cost of subscribing to journals and quarterlies, craft books, submission fees, and all those pretty notebooks I can’t resist. Now if only I could figure out how to deduct wine…
Move slow and fix things
How is it only 8:30am. How is it only Wednesday.
They excel at that.
That’s the part that was getting to me. Remember when we could just trust everyone would be okay without us for an evening or even a whole day?
I’ll have to watch that one.
Oooh yes. I’m looking for one to replace my iPhone.

Fox: Trump warns...
Guardian: Trump threatens…
WSJ: Trump says…
There is only one verb I want to see after Trump’s name in a headline. Why is this taking so long?
A push button version of an old-fashioned kettle rotary telephone
My transition to semi-Luddite is almost complete. And in case you’re wondering, yes, slamming the handset down feels as good as you remember.
I like that I can bring my whole self to this platform and post about anything without being slated into one lane by an algorithm that’s only interested in showing posts that increase the platform’s profits.
Really can’t think of a better day for this one to come out! Thanks to Eunoia Review for giving this one a home! 👇🏻 eunoiareview.wordpress.com/2026/04/06/a...
When we talk about creative writing, we're referring to the writer's use of language to recreate their vision. It’s good writing if a contemporary reader experiences it; it’s a classic if a reader at any time, from any walk of life, does.
AI doesn't envision things. Humans do.
He would indeed..
Except then we’d have to listen to MAGA promise he’ll be back in three days.
Perfect combo!
Oh, just me putting champagne in the fridge in the hope of something to celebrate in the next 0-48 hours. 🍾 🥂
There’s something poignant about the case name Trump vs. Barbara.
