The companies that tend to specialize in rebuildables and mechanical mods tend to be high end manufacturers with steep price tags. Of course Hellvape and Damn Vape and a few other companies, THC comes to mind, are still primarily focused on rebuildables at reasonable prices.

As such, I find myself following only the companies that specialize in rebuildables and mechanical mods. I have told a lot of companies not to send me products for review because they don't fall into the rebuildables category. The only issue with all of this is money.
More and more companies have moved or shifted towards subohm tanks, pods and disposables. I understand the move is financially based but it actually shrinks the market for people such as myself that don't find those types of products satisfying.
Companies that I never thought would run into issues have consistently had quality control mishaps.
Also, this was a slow year for rebuildables aside from boro. That being said some of my favorite releases have come this year, like the Drift Gen 2 RDA and the Nightmare V2.
This time, the commentary theme is #gratitude.

This year seemed like a down year for vape rebuildables. Yet, what we did get were some of the best releases in a while. The Drift Gen 2, Asgard 2, the Nightmare V2, the Blaze Max, Artha Gen 2, and several amazing mech mods! Not to mention all the quality boro bridge releases! Quality over quantity!
I still use X to try and help promote vaping advocacy here and there but I find I can only handle it for so long before it just gets to me. So far @bsky.app has been a breath of fresh air for me. I'm likely to talk a bit more about politics here than I do on X.... honestly I'll talk more here period

This is a pretty big deal and I’m trying to temper my expectations.
