Agreed. But if I'm right that IPCC "unliklely" means 0 to 33% chance, I'd also say that language should change. Are you "unlikely" to due playing russian roulette with two bullets? I don't think that's the words most people would use! Risk is critical here, not prediction &uncertainty

It's all relative. Yes they report, yes they mention climate change. No they don't give climate change & fossil fuels the prominence they should, and they don't use events like this to explain outlook for future as a function of our actions

China has been preparing for a global energy crisis for years. It is paying off now As other Asian economies race to conserve energy, China has huge reserves of oil and gas as well as alternative energy sources like wind and solar

We need resilience & just-in-time supply chains not resilient. (We don't know what the shocks will be exactly - but with climate & nature crisis and geopolitics we know they are coming). China - & e.g. Norway - have acted.
