Sometimes when I talk about how much masks improve my life, people mistakenly think I still want to be living in mid-2020.
No! That sucked! It was stressful and sad!
A main reason I wear & love N95s in crowded places is that I get to opt out getting sick while skipping the bad parts of that time!

Sudden bans on trans health care for kids across the U.S. have left parents scrambling. It’s not as simple as just leaving for another state. slate.com/technology/2...
Real power is workers demanding “do this or you won’t make profit this week” and then following through. That is power.

my partner asked me what I wanted for dinner last night and I responded “drive and momentum”
The Nordic model operates under the premise that the government and politicians know what's best for sex workers, whether sex workers like it or not.
The Nordic model believes that silencing sex workers, surveilling sex workers and punishing sex workers will magically create safety.
Scarleteen Sexual Health Article What Would it Look Like if We Treated COVID Like an STI? 17 min read • first published Feb 17th 2026 • updated Feb 17th 2026 • 1,061 views Liz Duck-Chong The past six years have been a real whirlwind, haven’t they? No matter your current feelings about the COVID-19 pandemic, it has changed all of our lives in big and small ways. However, the longer the pandemic goes on, the harder a lot of people find to talk about it, or their fears and needs for safety and precaution.
Applying a sexual health toolkit to COVID First, to be clear: we’re not trying to re-label COVID as an STI. An STI is an infection that is only or most typically spread via sexual contact. For example, a cold is not an STI, even if you can give it to someone when you kiss them (because that’s not the main way colds are spread). Instead, what we’re doing today is applying a different way of thinking than usual to how we think about the virus: one that many people already use every day to learn about, prevent, detect, and treat STIs and other sexual health concerns. What tools or ideas are we referring to when we talk about a sexual health toolkit? It could look like: -Prevention being possible and effective; -Knowing our status and testing to find it out; -Managing and fighting our shame and stigma; -Understanding what to do when we or our lovers test positive; and -Keeping ourselves and each other informed. It might sound like a lot of steps, but I promise each of them is simple. So, let’s dive into each of these in more detail.
"While talking with some friends recently, I realized that many of us had taken the experience we had managing our sexual health risks and used those same skills to manage and communicate about COVID risk."

I knowwww and if this spring is a good indicator of what summer will be like I’m nervous! I long for water to swim in and green everywhere… someday!
We just had to make this same decision to re-sign our lease and stay in Texas another year. Moving is so expensive and exhausting! Scary to be queer here but rn, but hopefully our community is stronger than our oppressors
Universal basic income is not science fiction. It should exist for everyone. There's enough to make it happen.

As thousands of amped up men are deployed in the streets and taught there are no consequences for killing anyone who refuses to submit to their authority, we should anticipate more violence to come.
After all: The violence is the point.
Thank YOU for writing! We must cultivate hope for one another
“What small thing can you do for someone who doesn’t belong to you to make them feel a little safer?” Something I am often thinking about, put into words beautifully here.
as a neurodivergent traveling to a new place, I researched nearby food that meets my dietary needs months before we got here, and I gotta say the gf bagel sandwich I picked out last year has been amazing 3 days in a row now
high altitude has me laying down between every task, hydrating like my life depends on it, sleeping 11 hours, understanding on a new visceral level what my partner with LC experiences all the time
This is true, grid posts are only for major events, usually in the form of a large carousel photo dump that gets archived after a little bit, and stories are where the real posting happens
sometimes I wish we could try the pure oxygen masks on planes, not for an emergency, but just like as a treat
Okay but no Lafayette scene in the finale really pmo. Also Sookie should have shot Bill dead with a gun
Do you want change or what? Act like it. It's not instant. The only way out is through. It takes years, decades, centuries. Are you in it for the long haul?

New study: The risk of Alzheimer’s disease significantly decreases in older adults who receive a higher dose of the influenza vaccine compared to the standard dose.

No, the verdict in the ‘social media addiction’ lawsuit was not a win against big tech, it creates a legal precedent for mass surveillance, censorship, the total destruction of the open web.

i went into this expecting the medical grievance denial rate in federal prisons to be in like the 70–80% range
after crunching the numbers, i found that 98% of the 66,000 medical grievances lodged between 2014–2024 were rejected by BOP; less than 1,000 cases were granted relief in 10 years
