Yeah and that fits with what I’m saying. It’s not about quality, it’s about the price that it’s served at. Going to a Michelin star restaurant means you’re also going to be paying quite a lot for you meal. Bib means “this meal is also very good but not luxury pricing”

Bib gourmand just means “this food is not expensive enough to be called Michelin star” a lot of the time from my understanding.

There are some exceptions but that’s what I’ve seen/read

I think the focus to me is really Nintendo losing to Xbox, rather than to Sony here.

Ps2 was a crazy success, but I feel like by every metric Nintendo is expected to destroy Xbox here and they didn’t. For that reason it’s fair to say the GC was somewhat of a flop console wise

My bad on the low res thing I dunno why it copied like that lol. But the Xbox was a new console. It was their first time, and they outsold Nintendo. I feel like that’s clearly an objective success

Don’t get me wrong GC was amazing but it did not sell well due to high cost if I recall correctly.

They switched their strategy ever since for cheaper consoles that are less high tech than competitors

It’s really not a crazy thing to ask someone: “please don’t be condescending even if you feel you have reasons for doing so”

Just my two cents.

I think if people fail to read something properly, or misread something, they are still deserving of respect and basic courtesy.

I think we should default to believing people are acting in good faith, or we lose something huge

I know this isn’t even replying to the points that I made but I really just dislike how this is so many people’s default way to engage with someone they disagree with.

Not every person who disagrees with you is an idiot, or worth making fun of
