Every time I read about banning books, I think of this:

Reading a book with a gay character will not make you gay any more than reading a book about Einstein will make you a genius.

Half of my assignments this semester I typed on my phone with a teething baby latched and nursing. 😵‍💫

I swear I could be scrolling on my phone for hours. Soon as I sit up to work on the computer here come lil Lazarus rising up to crawl in my lap.

Perfectionism induced procrastination + disability + parenting = feeling like a failure when all I needed was to ask for accommodations & consistent support from the beginning.

I really don’t want an incomplete for this semester. I’m doing my best to push through. I got 48hrs to get so much done. With a one year old that demands so much of my attention, capacity and spoons.

YZV’s first word was “cat” at like 7 months. There’s been plenty of ASL she knows & understands like: please, yes, potty, hungry, eat, all done & more, milk, stop.

But today… at 13 months, my baby said Umi for the first time. She’s known how to sign it. But to hear her say it?! I’m in shambles. 🥹🥲
