I rewatched Little Shop of Horrors. It's notable as the rare example of a Jewish horror film with zero reference to the Nazis. The evil plant is really just an evil plant.

Credit where it's due, even to The Mouse: This is a VERY positive thing to do and was also probably incredibly difficult 👍
He'd like Bubble's chaotic energy.
We have a chance of removing the Online Safety Act!
Any UK residents, PLEASE take the time to fill out the whole form. If we want to remove ID verification on websites that actually don't need it, we need to take action NOW!

I think I ship Mel/Santos on The Pitt.
She doesn't learn that until the end.
Banking security people have talked about it as a problem they're fighting.
People have used AI to commit fraud with generated checks.
I googled. People have done this.
I watched an HBO documentary on the Myers-Briggs personality test. It was designed by a woman with a level of racism comparable to Lovecraft. It really just measures how much you act like a stereotypical white man and problematizes anything else.
They Ask: Have you memorized any poems?
I Answer: ...My name is Cow,
It's the cowboy cop trope, the cop who breaks the law to get things done. Don't you love copaganda?
I honestly think a number of social justice people who enjoy ganging up on others, satisfying their bloodlust with harassment, and justifying it with the idea of "listening to" the members of minorities they've chosen as leaders would be quite happy in the military. They aren't pacifists by nature.
James Cameron tries to make Jake a Moses figure, but Moses works better because he has the initial connection with the Hebrew tribe and only returns to his ancestral people. He's not solely an outsider who becomes a leader. Prince of Egypt doesn't have the BDSM fetishism, so it's realistic melding.
Taika Waititi does a better job with the depiction of an outsider joining an Indigenous tribe in Thor: Love and Thunder, with Jane Foster joining the Maori-coded Asgardians through her romance with Thor. There is sex appeal without fetishism. It's very wholesome.
Once you have an attractive female villain threaten to make a male character her "pet" and make him "pleasure her," it's clear you're writing BDSM erotica and can't pretend you're being serious about your depiction of white/Indigenous relations. (THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENS IN THE THIRD FILM.)
Generally, it's colonial/white guilt degradation fetishism. Jake is humbled by the Indigenous tribe, presented as the superior people to modern Americans. It's not realistic intermingling; it's emphasizing his inferiority until he changes as a submissive to dominants and succeeds in their paradigm.
Rewatching Avatar: Heavily flawed but entertaining, like the Transformers movies. After seeing the overt dominatrix figure in 3, Neytiri's aggression towards Jake reads as similarly fetishistic. She calls him "like a baby" but doesn't nurture like someone who actually believes that, only denigrates.
"AI slop" as derivative of "goyslop," the antisemitic conspiracy theory that processed food is designed by Jews to make goyim weak.
Oh dear, I've only just learned that @joehunter.bsky.social, the fantastic artist who did the cover art for the future Nick Knacks book, is in the hospital. If you can show some love and spare a few for expenses, it would be much appreciated.

Hans Zimmer is a transphobe. A tweet reads "I worked for him. I did good work that he praised, but after transitioned he quickly had me fired. He had cue notes named "tr*nnv fight"' etc etc... It's a pattern of abuse that will inevitably come out over time, and I'm glad that the industry is changing slowly."
I regret to inform y'all that Hans Zimmer fuckin sucks.
People hated DS9 putting a black man in charge as political correctness making bad writing. Now people say Academy has bad writing because they're being "woke," and they should be more like DS9, where Sisko made sense because he reflected the values of the day. That didn't happen and still doesn't.
I used to attend a book club with a guy who refused to watch Voyager because a black Vulcan ruined immersion for him. He considered it political correctness motivating bad writing to imagine Vulcan ethnic diversity. Also that the best TNG episode was Code of Power, because it was closest to TOS.
The various reasons people cite for Star Trek Academy being bad writing are really just repackaged bigoted reasons people hated earlier shows that are now so old that they accept them as good old days. They hated Sisko, Janeway, Tuvok, Worf, and Geordi, too. Some older fans still do.

Sounds like a variation on blood libel. I suspect it comes from the antisemitic conspiracy theory that Jews are responsible for the existence of trans people for nefarious reasons.
Zeus is trying to kill him now.
