I haven't played a lot of RE, but from what little I have played, my favorite has been RE2.

Its unfortunate, that there are a lot of people who can't see any criticism of something they love as valid or constructive, and as such it is an attack upon that thing they love and also upon them as a person.

I've heard and, likely, said both in my life. The 'Deckul' pronunciation I heard first from my dad I think, he grew up in London ON. I started hearing Decal when I was getting into Gunpla back in High School in NS, and is what I use, so person to person, area to area I'd guess.
