So kudos to Lizzo and everyone else on this journey. May we all continue to kick butt well into retirement.

Have I lost weight? Yes but that doesn’t mean I’m not still body positive. I simply want a quality of life that honors my body as it is and as it continues to evolve.

I don’t want to struggle as I age and as a forty-something year old woman, it’s very important for me to be doing weight-bearing exercises to improve bone density and mitigate the risk of osteoporosis.

I lift weights twice a week and run but I’m not doing it to lose weight. My motivation is so I can remain active without having to rely on assistance like canes and walkers or pulling an oxygen tank everywhere.

Look: I love my body and it took me a long time to get to that place but now I’m in a spot where I love it so much I want to take care of it so it can take care of me as I age. And how do I do that? By eating well and working out.

You can love your body the way that it is and still want to take care of it through nutrition and exercise. Tell me you don’t work out for the sake of working out without actually saying it.

3) why is everyone mad at Lizzo for losing weight? Since when does body positivity equate to not losing weight? They are not exclusive.
