Six images of the Sun in H-Alpha.
During that session, the solar limb didn’t show any relevant prominences, so all the data was focused on the active regions.

Thank you! I always have some problems processing that kind of images, specially if details of the solar disk are still visible and I try to keep both in the final image. This session has been really exhausting for me, due the bad quality of the weather and then the SER files.
Last session in august 2024, before a long pause until december.

A view of some nice features on the solar chromosphere. The last days of august 2024 were quite cloudy and the seeing was probably not the best. The results are not amazing, but still nice.

One of the main craters in the southern quadrant of the Moon: Clavius. Longomontanus, Maginus and a partial, but still fascinating, Tycho are above it, while the smaller Scheiner and Blancanus on its south western side. On the south, Gruemberger and the last clearly visible crater: Moretus. Then the Terminator where the lunar South Pole hides.

A view of the craters on the eastern / south eastern shores of Mare Nubium. Among them, some of the main ones: Ptolemaeus, Albategnius and the smaller Klein: above them, the Herschel crater and, not entirely visible, Hipparchus. Moving to the south: Alphonsus, Arzachel and between them another small but interesting crater: Alpetragius. Purbach, Regiomontanus and finally Walther.

The skies above Paranal are at risk from a proposed industrial megaproject.
This would be located in the vicinity of ESO's Observatory. If constructed, it would irreparably impact astronomical observations.
