Nothing louder than a gust of wind comes from the valley. The gallop of an auroch lingers above the burnt woods, as distant as it is haunting.

I don't know how it all unwrapped that I could watch 1985 Angel's Egg in a Polish cinema TODAY, but what a trip to watch it on a big screen. A movie that I saw for the first time 17 years ago, almost half of my life, from a pirated .avi file.
And is much better than in my memories.
If I manage to maintain my current pace of work, this game's scope will be measured "in Roadwardens".
you are NOT prepared I swear
*invite YOU because lmao
It tears me apart that I can't show you everything just yet, but give me a year or two and I'll invite to a great adventure, I promise.
Sharing these because of vibes.

I'm learning!
You grab a piece of rope and tie the plank to the post. Time will tell if the new finger will earn the switch to steel nails.

The scent of fish broth is inviting, if a bit too potent. You can only hope that taking a sip won’t mark your lips with the same type of grimace that's been carved on the innkeep's smile.

One of the delights of #writing is figuring out which words and phrases are the shortcuts your thinking relies on. I just replaced 30+ "(un)impressive-s" with "imposing", "hefty", "crafty", "barren" etc., or simply omitted them to allow other parts of the sentence speak for themselves.

I'm working on a "see that mountain? climbing it would be silly and dangerous, and there are monsters there, and why would you, let's do something interesting and with lasting consequences" type of #indiegame

Damn, I guess we're almost neighbors or something, all of these live in my area. Though I've never seen a wild owl, I'm an early bird myself. And I can never spot them on trees, even though they are there.
I love your "sparkling" heron. But long-tailed tits are my favs in general.
"Days get blurry. The same few trees, over and over. You put on the gear, take it off, and put it on again. You listen to howls, to chirps. Nothing happens, then everything crashes down. And at that point, you’re either too on the edge, or too drowsy."

I'm super sad, but thank you for sending me this. I'm sending this forward.
I can offer you 1 rock
So... If anyone here has access to Roadwarden on Switch... Could you let me know how it runs now, after the patch?
...I've reported it to the folks above.
I believe the patch is live!

Hi! Sadly, it's out of my hands, I've got no influence over this matter. But I just checked and I'm hearing that if Nintendo finds no issues with the most recent version of the patch, it should go live this Friday. : )
no #screenshotsaturday from me, I'm on vacation

They are small, but numerous, afraid, yet angry. Their feathery shells begin to fidget all over, erratically hopping between the rocks, in and out of the stream, even running into one another.

It fits an upcoming story thread for my next game, so this reality-based perspective does wonders for my brainstorming.
Just watched the lovely work by @andrewmarkhenry.bsky.social on ties between the sacred groves and the societies that form them, treasure them, and alter them. A useful reference for worldbuilders curious about the wilds.

You put on the worst clothes you can dig out from your bags. Thankfully, the bucket you find in a corner - most likely a chamber pot for the nighttime dwellers - allows you to discard the goblins’ legacy, even if some of the scent will stick around for years.

While it's a huge compliment, having an output of 1 RPG after 4 years of work each time (plus very necessary breaks between them) would mean I would have maybe 2-4 more of those in me, at best. Some adjustments will need to happen if I want to bring more to you guys.
