Last night on stream we made the Skyrim leek & cheese crostata from the official Elder Scrolls cookbook!

I'm really happy with how it turned out, it was delicious!

A sweetroll on a plate. The honey cake is baked to a golden brown and the ivory icing is drizzled over the top. Delicious. There is a blanket and a window in the background.

It reminds me of my spiced plum mousse recipe, but that in a soup form would be sublime!

I couldn't find my Chinese five-spice mix, so I made Dune Melange hot cocoa instead. The perks of having a half fictional kitchen... ๐Ÿ˜

For what it's worth, publishers often make me decrease the amount of salt in recipes. Apparently not everyone likes to eat it directly out of the salt pig like I do. ๐Ÿคฃ

I also did a new Star Trek cookbook, that I think is a lot more palatable than the original, fwiw. ๐Ÿ––๐Ÿป

We had chicken as well, since there were only four of us, but that cranberry chutney is a staple I look forward to all year long!

Although, uh, looking at the article, the "HUNDREDS OF RECIPES!!" confused for page numbers is a strange take. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Let's talk fantasy foods!

I'm planning my cooking, and I'd love to hear what's on your short list. I'm leaning towards revisiting the Gentlemen Bastards, but the worlds of Sarah J Maas are also woefully lacking in real recipes.

What recipes/dishes/worlds would help get you through the winter?

EANT, OBVS. First thought was a bochet, actually, where you caramelize the honey before fermenting... ๐Ÿ˜‰

If I were considering exploring some tried and true blog/cookbook recipes in an exciting new way, would you rather see my own favorites from over the years, or the most popular recipes? Other quirks and tidbits would you love to see? Making-of, BTS, new twists? What ARE your favorite IatC recipes?
