Just 3 days ago @restingdinoface.bsky.social was all 🤐 about me working on some pieces for Tyrant Lizard Queen, but since she name dropped me today I guess the cat’s out of the bag.

Not likely. 😞

I was so excited when it was originally announced. I balked a little at the price, but Farscape merchandise is so rare. And never of this quality…and then it was snatched away.

Farscape Moya Leviathan Limited Edition Replica

I periodically get annoyed that Chronicle Collectibles fell apart before releasing the 14” Moya replica from Farscape.

It was beautiful looking.

The fact that Master Replicas hasn’t picked up the license is sad for me and my need for tiny spaceships.

*Hugs* I wish I could spend all of my time writing and working on art. But I also have to apply for conventions, arrange travel, file business taxes, pack and ship orders, take inventory, order new sticker stock, makes prints, bag prints, run social media, update my store, maintain my website...

No problem, I hope it helped. If you have any more process questions feel free to ask.

Video

I jury-rigged a little turntable and attached a piece of twine (James Gurney style) to film a turn around video of my Parasaurolophus sculpture.

Ignore the crudity of the setup, I was just dinking around.

Enjoy.

I was asked what I use to render scales. I layer the default splatter airbrushes in CSP and then pull out a few scales here and there to highlight texture changes and then add wrinkles and colors.

I made a little guide to show what each brush looks like.

Always feel free to ask questions.

I got complimented on my streaks at my last con. But I have hero streaks, Reed Richards/Dr. Strange streaks.

Yeah, narrative and story sort of go by the wayside when he’s left to his own devices.

As did I, I wrote a report in college about Adaptation, I even read his book a few years ago.

His premises are always good, his execution of those premises, when he's doing things himself, isn't nearly as polished as when he's working with someone else.

It's been awhile since I read the book, but yeah, I think Mongo was mentioned as having a beak.

I read the first book to see what all the hubbub was. I get why people like it, it's dumb fun, but just not my thing.
