Great to see you, too, Sally! It's wild that if I'm home alone for a week, I generate almost zero plastic waste. When everyone else is at home, the recycle can fills up. It's a process.

The small changes we make as individuals might not feel like much. But when our actions are compounded, it does make a difference.

A few small changes I've made: Reusable grocery bags. Grouping errands so I use less gas. Recycle religiously. Use a reusable water bottle whenever possible. Vote for candidates who will protect the environment rather than ransack it in the name of corporate greed.

Earth Day: April 22, 2026

We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.

Happy Earth Day! Climate change is REAL. The actions we take now can negatively impact the environment. The impact might take the form of the extreme weather events we're experiencing globally or the consequences future generations will have to face.

CDC won’t publish report showing covid shots cut likelihood of hospital visits The report, which had cleared the agency’s scientific-review process, had been delayed. It now won’t be published at all, people familiar with the decision told The Post.

SCOOP: Two weeks ago, the head of the CDC delayed publication of a report showing covid vaccine cut likelihood of ER visits and hospitalizations by half. Now that report is no longer allowed to be published in CDC’s flagship scientific journal. My latest. 1/2

Lot of people on the right crying about the Virginia redistricting vote.

We told you this would happen while you were celebrating the illegal off-cycle seat grab in Texas.

Stop playing stupid games if you don’t want to win stupid prizes.

It's Pisces Season and today is my birthday. So I'm just going to try to mentally project this level of energy because I'm still sick with COVID.

Who are you favorite Pisces artists? For me it's Rihanna, Erykah Badu, Queen Latifah, and Jhené Aiko, just to name a few.

Black urban romance deserves to be taken seriously In 2025, Sweet Nothings Book Co. opened as Baltimore’s first romance-only bookstore. It’s truly a romance book lover’s dream — it’s cozy and welcoming, clearly created with readers in mind. The shelve...

Important article. Nothing burns me up more in the literary space than the same folks who praise dark and mafia romance with their whole chests denigrating urban romance. Tell us why you find one genre acceptable but not the other. I’ll wait.

Working Families Party Response to the State of the Union
Working Families Party Response to the State of the Union YouTube video by Working Families Party

The Working Family’s Party response to the SOTU was brilliant. The Democratic Party is at a crossroads. Time to steer away from lukewarm candidates beholden to corporate interests who hold the line for the status quo. Government should work for THE MANY not THE MONEY.

Kinda weird that the party that controls the House, the Senate, and the White House claims there's rampant voter fraud.

MADE FOR ME Featured on Book Riot List After a few crappy weeks, an ice storm, and a snow storm and sick grandkiddo that changed our anniversary plans, things are beginning to look up. Undeterred, we found a way to make the most of our snowy weekend at home for our anniversary. Part of the fun was learning to salsa, courtesy of YouTube. This set me up to get ready for Benito Bowl (also known as the Super Bowl Halftime Show). And since I've been listening to Bad Bunny's album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS and practicing my basic salsa steps to BAILE INoLVIDABLE and KLOuFRENS, I was ready to go.
