As for all of the reported species on my birding app, members and maintenance people can and do go all over the place and I suspect at least some of them are avid birders who pay attention to such things as visiting species while they're out and about, eg, I pointed out a northern mockingbird ...

... it has something to do with habitat improvement --which is something that they do and were, in fact, doing while I was there albeit in a different area. Anyways, fantastic place to visit but just remember it's their place, their rules. Be respectful of both.

... whether there were precipitating events that caused that changes with the new signs. That said, there were also new "no fishing" signs at other spots and I know for a fact people have been caught fishing there before there was more robust signage. So maybe they just got around to it or maybe ...

Note: the spot where I've found waders/shorebirds before turned out to have new "no trespassing for any reason" signs posted on the trail that goes that way. So, although I didn't see any stilts or godwits or yellowlegs, etc, they still might have been around. The thing about the Gun Club ...

ELIZABETH WARREN: Did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election?

KEVIN WARSH: Uhm, we try to keep politics if I'm confirmed out of the Federal Reserve

WARREN: I'm just asking a factual question

WARSH: I believe this body certified the election

WARREN: That's not the question I'm asking

Kevin Warsh just lost me. He argues he's going to be an independent Fed Chair, but refuses to acknowledge that Trump lost the 2020 election. If you can't state simple facts when you're in the political spotlight, you aren't independent. You're a coward.

Virginia: Vote YES Tomorrow Virginia's Redistricting Referendum and Why I'm Passionately In Support

Trump ordered Texas to redraw its maps mid-cycle — not because the census required it, but because they know they can't win a fair fight in 2026.

Virginia votes tomorrow. Matching the GOP isn't enough —

If you live in Virginia, tomorrow you have a huge opportunity to make it clear to the GOP that if they want to win, it won’t be by changing the rules and redrawing maps. At least, not without a fight. Vote YES on the redistricting vote, and push back!
