Thanks for the heads up maybe I’ll go back to @uncutmagazine.bsky.social rather than @mojomagazine.bsky.social , as at least the AI chatbot finally agreed to cancel and provide a refund, I received 6 copies in 12 months and they wouldn’t send any replacements!

Sorry @mojomagazine.bsky.social but I’m cancelling my sub, your content is decent but the subscription service overseas sucks. Lost issues, ripped magazines, missing CDs, terrible customer service and all for x3 the price. I want to support music in print form but not if you treat customers this way
Not often you go for a haircut and find a copy of The Verve’s (or Verve at that stage) debut album on cassette at the barbers
My favourite Book Off finds to date, in immaculate condition like they’ve never been played with obis and inserts intact, original Psychocandy and Darklands pressings - JAMC #Japan #vinyl
Only £15 in Tower Records in Tokyo - @brighterdayvinyl.bsky.social @justplayed.bsky.social
Back in Tokyo and some nice finds in Book Off, original JAMC presses with Obi and a load of 1977 Beatles reissue 7”s, @brighterdayvinyl.bsky.social @webuyrecords.bsky.social #Japan #Vinyl
Two copies of A Song for You by The Temptations bought two weeks apart, a US reissue in Tokyo and an original French press with a lovely die-cut sleeve bought in Toulouse that used to be owned by a R.R. Gravelé. I’m sure everyone ends up with duplicates due to forgetfulness … but two weeks apart!
So 10 years ago we went to this @everyrecord.bsky.social
I see Honeybear By FJM is 10 years old. Nice Sunday morning listen to the original deluxe Sub Pop 2 disc 45rpm edition with the pop up inner sleeve & midi player of the title track. Unfortunately this warped the discs so they sent out replacements. Both my sets seem fine but the midi player has died
Another great Book Off Shinjuku purchase - Original Japanese pressing of Sly and the Family Stone’s Greatest Hits in a lovely condition for £3 / $4. Thanks again to @brighterdayvinyl.bsky.social and @webuyrecords.bsky.social for the Book Off recommendation, can’t wait to head back. #Japan #Vinyl
These Carl Craig edits of Congoman on Honest Jon’s are great, picked up in a shop in Shibuya. Inspired me to dig out my original UK press of Heart of the Congos procured from Safari Surf Shack my favourite record shop in Perth, WA. One of the best records of all time and near mint #japan #vinyl #dub
Always good when there is a “blurb” on the sleeve. Probably my fave record of 2025, although found out it came out late 2024 … who cares. Alex Kassian and Nick Hoppner collab. The Big Melt by H.A.N.K, kinda ambient krautrock drum and bass bought from The Analog Vault in Singapore. Top stuff
Saturday afternoon funky jazz listening. Lonnie Smith’s Drives - Bluenote Classic reissue Kevin Gray doing his usual fine job. Yusef Lateef’s Detroit - seems to be a 2022 Argentinian pressing picked up here at my local shop in Singapore, sounds great.
Simply an amazing album, every listen is absorbing. My fourth copy on vinyl. Nice Japanese edition with Obi picked up in Tower in Tokyo, but pressed at Optimal on Germany. #radiohead #japan #vinyl
More Glove Records in Barcelona discoveries Lovemachine Parts 1 and 2 by Supermax, 70’s Austrian electronic disco funk
Best €4 I spent last year, Orlando Riva Sound’s “Who Built the Pyramids”, just a total banger especially when the bass drops in the chorus. Picked up at my favourite shop in Barcelona - Glove Records. www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJol...
Two post Beatles solo singles on Japanese pressed 7”’s, Wings wins it would have to say but this 80’s George has its charms. #Japanese #Vinyl #Beatles
Two more fantastic examples of superb mastering and cuts taking amazing electronic albums to another level by Matt Colton at Metropolis. As @justplayed.bsky.social has brought to attention the guy is a modern day maestro of bringing electronic albums to life on vinyl.
Japanese Obi reissue of King of Limbs by Radiohead vs x 2 10in original Record Industry pressing - lovely obi it may be but the original being 45rpm and two tracks per side is sublime and is a clear winner
Marvellous record to listen to on New Years Day, the band are on fire and Tina’s voice is unreal. The set list is superb start to finish. Disk Union purchase for around ¥2,000, it’s near mint disc wise but no obi. Love a lyric book that includes the in between song announcements. #Japan #vinyl
Another Book Off Shinjuku purchase for £4 / $5 / SG$7 / ¥800 this time with an obi and near mint and flawless. #Japan #Vinyl
First listen of the New Year a Book Off Shinjuku purchase for £4 / $5 / SG$7 / ¥800, it’s a Japanese original near mint and flawless, just no obi. #Japan #Vinyl
Wordle 1,290 1/6*

And it only took 1,019 tries.
Nice mash-up album of MF Doom with the supreme Japanese City Pop of Tatsuro Yamashita.
Always great to find one of your favourite records this year has been pressed at Pallas, cut at Metropolis and mastered by Matt Colton and sounds wonderful. Another great album by Michael Kiwanuka and this pressing makes it sound even more amazing. The guitars and bass shine and the songs are superb
Perfect Christmas combo
Another “Japanese” edition that’s clearly pressed at Optimal and then sold in Japan with an Obi. Still it looks great, sounds fantastic although the pressing is a but hit and miss with some pops and cracks (would have got the black vinyl, didn’t realise I had picked up the white). #japan #vinyl
Father John Misty’s Greatest Hits album is flawless from start to finish. Japanese edition purchased In Tokyo but think it’s just the US Sub Pop Loser version with an Obi and some printed matter, and doesn’t have a separate Discogs page. Anyway pressed at RTI and is silent and dynamic. #vinyl #japan
From Tokyo to Toulouse - Picked up some nice bits in Le laboratoire Vinyles, also with a fantastic tote bag. Nice French pressing of The Temptations and I’m sure that Phil Spector Christmas album will sound better than my Christmas tree green repress.
Only thing is the concert was nearly 24 hours long, and there’s only a few tracks from it. Just want to hear more. Will try and track down the documentary to watch.
