Really can't shake the analogy of the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-05, with Donald Trump playing the role of Nicholas II

Former Conservative MP Marilyn Gladu crosses floor to Liberals | CBC News The Liberals have picked up another Conservative floor-crosser, bringing them one seat closer to a majority government.

Wow, another floor crossing to the Liberals?! It really makes Canadian politics super interesting! And, uh, this recent crossing seems like an odd fit…

It's funny how a two week delay is always the fallback position. Like always choosing rock in rock, paper scissors, but acting like it's strategic.

Rapper Afroman wins lawsuit against police over mocking their 2022 raid in viral music videos The Grammy-nominated rapper Afroman has won a defamation lawsuit filed by seven Ohio sheriff’s deputies who sued him over music videos that used home security footage to mock them over a 2022 raid of his home.

The Afroman trial, and basically everything about it, is definitely my top favourite moment of 2026!

We bought our EV in 2025 shortly after the government rebates were paused or eliminated. And after federal consumer carbon tax was dropped as well. Our purchase felt like bad timing! But…I really wasn't expecting 2026 to be the year of a new oil war, but here we are…

We just came back from our first road trip in our EV (Mini Countryman SE). We drove to Ottawa for the weekend. Fun! The fast charging experience was pretty good, but it's wild the number of phone apps you end up installing just for what should be a simple transaction.

That mildly embarrassing moment when you catch yourself apologizing (out loud!) to the robot vacuum for being in its way. And then, the small rush of pride because you still value manners and politeness!

Flickr discloses potential data breach exposing users' names, emails Photo-sharing platform Flickr is notifying users of a potential data breach after a vulnerability at a third-party email service provider exposed their real names, email addresses, IP addresses, and account activity.

The email notification was a fun reminder that I still have a Flickr account and Flickr is still, I guess, a thing! www.bleepingcomputer.com/news...

I realize this isn't terribly important right now, but Pizza Libretto in Toronto has the best take on a Hawaiian pizza. It's an amazing combo of grilled pineapple, ham, bacon, jalapeño, and "hot maple" sauce (maple syrup, cayenne, and chili flakes). The combo of sweet and spicy is just the best!
