The interview that supported the article is fresh, so something to write about even if it isn't anything groundbreaking. Just some friendly "behind the scenes" content rehashed for an audience curious for it.

What is the issue in the article/headline? They state its not generative AI and that it is all PCG based.

We're still pretty early days with the project. We have a vague content plan in terms of how we want to present more of this project and ideas on what we want to share on Youtube or via a blog. Once the art rework is in place, I think we'll be in a good spot.

A few more Unreal plugins I wanted to shoutout as being foundational to our project was Dungeon Architect: www.fab.com/listings/0ad...

This one has been around a while but has a lot of power if you're looking to make procedurally generated map designs. We're using it to stitch together levels :)

For the actual project, I've been reworking a few of our systems and leveraging a lot of the fantastic Ninja Bear Studio plugins (fab.com/sellers/Ninj...)

This allows us to leverage a lot of the flexibility of GAS on a great foundational frameworks.

This required getting Horde set up on a docker container and configuring our networks to securely connect and point towards these build agents. Pretty handy to set up if you have old hardware laying around :)

We're in the middle of an artistic rework, so I've been plugging away at some of the gameplay aspects and structuring our workflows. I recently got distributed building set up so that whenever we compile our game code, it brings in our media server PCs running Ryzen 3700X processors to help out.

Some primary inspirations for our designs come from Dark Cloud and Zelda, while also taking on some more of the modern loot-driven class progression systems we've seen from Dungeon Defenders, Destiny, and Roguelite-style games.

Heyo newer followers! šŸ

Been lurking on BlueSky here but I'll allow myself to share more context on what I've been cooking recently.

I'm working with a friend of mine on a co-op action RPG that has players traversing through randomized dungeons that progresses in difficulty and cooler loot.

Depends, but some starters I could look at:

1. Superhot, time integrated into player speed
2. Dead Rising, time management integral to story progression and what you can do
3. Haven't played it but Braid heavily uses time-based mechanics it seems

Oof okay yeah I see how you'd encounter those then. My projects are much simpler in comparison so I'm generally pretty good with the AMD Ryzen 7900X 64GB RAM that I have.

How were you affected here? Shader/Packaging times?

I wonder if setting up the AMD as the headless build machine and using the intel for everything else is the play if that's the case.

A number of artists and creators have made their home on Bluesky, and we hear their concerns with other platforms training on their data. We do not use any of your content to train generative AI, and have no intention of doing so.

Fun fact: If someone quotes a post of yours in a way that is unwelcome (as is commonplace on Twitter/X) there is a tool to combat the unwanted attention. Simply click the three dot menu on the quote post & click "Detach quote". This removes your post from their quote post. Useful to know, do share!

Big agree - also the Moderation Lists on BlueSky really help with minimizing this content in the first place!

How to set your domain as your handle - Bluesky Using a domain as your handle helps with account identity, verification, and portability. Here's how to set your domain as your handle.

If you run a more professional account or own a domain, you may want to look at setting your handle to match your domain. BlueSky blog has a tutorial on this!

For Vtubers, you can look at vtubers.social if you don't want to purchase a domain.

Domains are a neat way for people to know its you :)

There are more moderation lists on BlueSky that you can take advantage of, but those above make a great start. I also recommend taking a minute to tune your moderation settings and add AI image labeller.

Moderations Lists are user-maintained lists of accounts that you can mass-mute or mass-block that stay in sync over time. This can be really useful for keeping your feed clean of bad actors and minimizing content you're not interested in.

I'm using the following in the next post 🧵

New here? I am too, but I'm also glad to share some of the more useful things I've come across on BlueSky.

I'll go over Domains Handles, Moderation Lists, Twitter Followers, Feed Settings.

I'll start with the big one first, Moderation Lists!
