i DO NOT believe ai should be used in any form of creative work, and it would be disingenuous to put me away as another AI lover when i hate its guts, but *understanding* something and not simply equating it to a fancy word-predictor is fundamental to criticizing it. many, however, refuse to do so

ngl this might be a spicy take but "ai denialism" is indeed a thing-- people are refusing to acknowledge it as a part of our new reality, and believe ignoring it will simply be enoigh to make it go away.
