🌠 The Perseid meteor shower is at its peak! Bright streaks in the night sky mark Earth’s passage through the dust and debris left behind by Comet Swift–Tuttle. The Moon is bright, but from a dark spot, you may be treated to one of the best meteor displays of the year.

Lynda Sayce plays a piece of lute music that was recently discovered in an archival document at the Museum Plantin-Moretus. Since the handwritten lute tablature was folded and reused as scrap paper, it's problaby the first time in 400 years that this music is heard.

A Team of Scientists Is Trapped at Isolated Antarctic Base for 10 Months. 1 of Them Just Attacked and Threatened Others: Report A scientist has allegedly attacked and threatened colleagues while they're stuck at an isolated base in Antarctica for 10 months, an email reportedly stated.

So there's a rise of violence in a remote Antarctic base, and the closest base is an outpost of european scientists.

Well, having seen John Carpenter's THE THING, I have bad news if they don't have Kurt Russell with a flamethrower.

Between this and our current forced real-life THEY LIVE remake...

Not sure about retaliation (apart from tariffs that everybody hates), but a century of trust, cultural/scientific soft-power and geopolitical alliances/relevance just broke in a month. World security/spy collab will be harder.
That new remake of It Can't Happen Here/The Manchurian Candidate sucks!

A brown donkey in the white snow. The donkey is on the foreground, natural light reveals all the shades of brown of its fur, from light to dark. He's looking at the camera with pointing ears. Its white snout nearly blends withe the white snow in the background. Between the snow and the white skies, there is a blurry forest in the background.

Nice to see you here ! It's pretty easy & quick. Settings > Account > nickname and it gives you 2 values to add to a TXT entry on your DNS domain panel.
it's pretty much immediate, may have to click the verify button two times but it's pretty quick

Only a few are actually, but there's at least 3.
Ironically, the Paul character (Hugo Horiot, brother of the group leader, grey hair) is an autism advocate IRL -& script consultant 4 the series- but plays a NT character!
Anyway, not bad especially considering french shortcomings regarding autism

5) Made very smart moves & had heart when it paired Astrid with her young 1/2 bro. GREAT scene/dialogue in s4e2 as it used the kid's discussion w/ her to expose social prejudice and mockery
6) Up-to-date w/ society changes. Support groups shown (w/ IRL autistic cameos) are very new #ActuallyAutistic

3) Even if it gets stuff wrong (like focal epilepsy depiction/visions/catatonic in recent ep), way better & more accurate than Good Doctor, which only had another autistic character/actress in final season
4) Strikes gold w/ emotion. Good Sherlock/impulsive sidekick buddy dynamics #ActuallyAutistic

As a french autistic writer:
1) Mortensen's acting went "full Rain Man" with ALL autistic traits. First eps were caricatural, lots of clichés
2) BUT it course-corrected itself, showing other autistic characters. Astrid needs more support than the typical (ex)Asperger, ≃ level 2 ASD #ActuallyAutistic

Years may have passed, platforms may have changed several times, and people may have drifted apart from each other, but you've made an impact in the time you were with us.
May you rest in peace (with a great, neverending jazz soundtrack!), Steve. You'll be missed by many.
Also, fuck cancer.

It's pretty much like the first day of school at a new place, or joining the set of an ongoing show/spin-off !
Friends, familiar faces, people you knew from-back-then but lost touch a while ago, and lots of newcomers.
I guess it's all about connecting & reconnecting. A do-over to communicate better
