Why anyone with any decency is still voluntarily using it is beyond me. If news & media orgs are requiring their editorial staff to use it, they should rethink. Engagement metrics are apparently as good or better here. Of course, there's the focus on engagement metrics being its own issue, so... 🤷‍♂️

Followed up by: "when we're back in control of Congress and then the Exec branch, we're clawing back every single dollar."
Right in the middle of Sproul Mall, with Oskie as hype-man (hype-bear, I guess). It was rad.
Less friction and pain than the US system, but you do have to fill out on-line forms to ensure deductions are correct.
We don't file taxes in Denmark like the US, but we do have to fill out a skettekort (tax card) during the year to estimate earnings, add deductions for things like union dues, commute allowance, etc. Then in March you get an assessment of refund or owed, and can amend the skattekort if need be.
The “Calvin’s dad explains two types” meme, inspired by a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. Clockwise from top left: 1) Calvin’s dad walks into frame to find Calvin trying to operate a record player. The dad says: “There are only two industries left in America: gambling, and fraud.” 2) The dad shows where the record goes, and how to turn on the player, while Calvin watches. Dad says “Derivatives? Gambling. AI? Fraud. Video games? Gambling. Social media? Fraud.” Calvin says “yeah”. 3) With one hand open palm up, Calvin’s dad cheerfully explains to Calvin out of frame below him, “The stock market looks like gambling, but it’s actually fraud.” 4) In bed in a dark room, Calvin clutches at his pillow, eyes wide in existential terror. There is no text in the panel.
Hey, I 'm just asking questions. 🙄
US vice president JD Vance, in a blue suit with yellow tie, meets Pope Francis, who is wearing a white garment. Both are sitting in chairs facing each other.
Or even worse...
Joining the "I am old" crew, and to note that I still have my original vinyl bought in 1983, and it still sounds great.
These are not serious people.
Not sure if it's come up in your reporting, but a colleague is Hungarian & going back to Budapest (from Copenhagen) to vote b/c Hungarian expats don't trust absentee ballots to actually be counted; so him & many others are so committed to ousting Orban that they're flying back just to vote.
So this is really the GOAT race in more ways than one? :)
Excellent work...so cool to hear stories about the culture of the race, not just the riders.
A wall length grocery score display of ice pops in all different flavors corresponding to colors like red, yellow, orange, green
How to tell it’s finally spring in Denmark…the ice pop flavors are in full bloom at the grocery store
We prefer to call it, um, a quiet boycott. 🙄
Not to mention that the front row isn't really a good place to watch a football match. You only see so much, even if the play is in your area. You see even less if your view is blocked by managers, refs, subs warming up, tv equipment, etc.
Donald Trump is an unhinged warmonger and war criminal using violence for personal gain and profit, while innocent people pay the price.

Congress must reconvene to pass the War Powers Resolution. The 25th Amendment must also be invoked. Congress has to do our damn job. War powers and Impeachment.
Seriously worse.
đź’Ż We have universal free higher education here in Denmark, that also comes w/ a living stipend. All paid for by a fair progressive tax system. Nobody begrudges the rich kid being there for free or sees the low-income kid as getting an unfair handout. Schools are all high quality so people want to go

A recent pic of Nugget
An all-grey kitten with faint darker stripes, yellow eyes, and an intense stare sits on a wood floor in front of a cat bed. In the cat bed is a lighter grey cat with white lower belly, white paw tips, and orange highlights. He's on his back, looking up and smiling like a happy doofus.
Adorable. We have a grey one like that, Nugget, in front on this pic. It's from a late summer 2024 when she was about 5 or 6 months old. Behind her is the happy doofus Potato. The pic makes her look a bit darker than she is.
Men would rather bomb embassies than go to therapy.

Happy gotcha day to our sweet doofus Potato (nee Dallas, then Dalias). We got him 3 years ago as a rescue via a foster home, when he was 4 1/2 years old. He was a good friend & playmate to senior cat Leo (RIP) & now a good friend & playmate to Nugget. A great cat, a kind soul. #catsofbluesky #cats
Maybe AI can replace human venture capitalists?
Women's soccer in the US grew mainly because of Title IX. It became a sport colleges supported for women to maintain equality, so the HS -> college pipeline developed. That gave the US a first-mover advantage across the international scene. The US is still strong, but other nations have caught up.
Any Dem running for Congress now and in 2028 and for President in 2028 needs to make it a major part of their platform to fully fund a complete SEC investigation of this market manipulation, and to finally get in place a ban on stock & futures trading by people holding elected or appointed office.
It's a major subplot in Bodkin (Will Forte show on Netflix about an American podcaster in Irelnd)
