It’s a weird little surprise 😅

Kory 🤣😭
I thought it, but I kept it to myself! I love you and I bet you were the BEST 2nd grade teacher.
And this student often isn’t the best or even my favorite! In fact, they’re sometimes the opposite 🤣
But there’s something about them that reminds me that this is work is consequential and sacred.
People are who not teachers may never understand that there are students who etch themselves on our souls.
It’s rare that we can predict who they’ll be, but there’s no mistaking it when it happens. For good or for ill, that’s my kid and their existence impacts how I see my job and the world.
Some members of my doctoral cohort are super “wait until course evaluation time” & it GIVES ME THE ICK.
We’re all professional educators; you can’t send an email / set up a conference to explain why things aren’t working for you? BE AN ADULT.
And yes, they are.
If you mean that I completed my class: yes?
You have no idea how much I love and appreciate you, Christine.
No thanks 🤣😅
Once the semester ends, I plan to go back to the initial material and review the Rhonda that didn’t make sense.
I had a research methods class in my masters, but 1) that was a decade ago and 2) the knowledge wasn’t applied. For the first time, I can see how pieces of research fit together.
I met with my professor yesterday about our final, a prospectus of our possible dissertation research. She said “I’m really proud of you, and this prospectus is phenomenal as is. I can’t wait to see how it grows.”
😭
My research methodology class kicked my ass. There was so much terminology I didn’t know and couldn’t contextualize, and the workload was, at times, unmanageable.

The Pride flag is a symbol. Neither the flag nor its absence changes who I am or the work that I do.
AND AND AND
I will not capitulate out of fear.
Rape academy.
It’s another tough day to be a woman, a sexual assault survivor, an educator, and a mom.
Heck yes! Thank you for your service!
Some of my proudest moments are seeing the accomplishments of my former students. You have enriched my life more than you know.
I love my job.
Please don’t yell at & antagonize your kids in the morning. I know it’s hard, especially when they’re hard-headed, but it sucks to attempt to get a person whose brain is still growing to buy-in when their adults yell at them before they come to class.

As a DFW girlie, Azzi coming to Dallas with Paige gives the same energy as Moon Joy 😭
As an educator and education researcher
you the birthday >>> 67
and it’s not even close

As a retired public school teacher, I hope current teachers who may sometimes despair keep this on their minds at all times: we never know when the light will come to our students. Let's presume they will all reach for the stars. 🖖
I'm one of those trans women. I worked ground ops for Artemis I.
I am torn between celebrating the success of my friends and peers and grieving how my dream of working for NASA was shattered by hateful assholes in Tallahassee
Thank you, public school teachers
It made me feel so special to know we have a small part in so many things 😭
Mae Jemison is such a queen!!
I love her 🥹
They probably want to do science, but could we have people who have read a book lead?! Just one?!
I KNOW I HAVE NOT STOPPED CRYING SINCE THEY REENTERED EARTH’S ATMOSPHERE 🥹
I would be INSUFFERABLE.
“Yeah…I was her 11th grade English teacher. She was a beautiful writer. Always knew she’d make it to the moon.”
😭🤣
Every single one of the astronauts who went to the moon and back on Artemis II was educated at a public school.
Thinking of the teachers who poured into Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen tonight. You helped send a kid to the moon!
