THIS IS SO COOL

my experiences with dogs consist of my two childhood dogs and i was a child, i did not train them, they hardly ever barked or misbehaved, both immensely affectionate and calm. i never had a puppy like this. it's been helping to put his playpen where my cats are, they are helping me babysit.

puppies feel what i imagine toddlers to feel also, wildly dependent on you, anything can kill them, you have to teach them how to exist but they're most stubborn, and they're loud.

my best friend cat passed one day ago, & i got myself a puppy a week prior. the self inflicted stress is tremendous, i'm doing this during a year i'm supposed to be all work no fun. no fun being had but if one thing i'm learning about myself is that i have been right and i do not want to have kids.
