Out of curiosity will there be any interactions with support fleets and faction commissions? Or would the Hegemony just laugh at me over the phone if I asked them for help? (This would be really funny). Really cool feature to see added either way

SMAC was so good. I think writing still plays a role in this, you can do a lot if you've got people immersed enough to start thinking "man, what kind of future society do I want to be?" I could see something with more emphasis on that kind of decision making, but it needs longevity. Hmm, tough.
i love this game
i dont know what the fuck a labubu is im just kind of hoping if i continue to ignore it it will go away
False Idols might be my new favorite quest (and bit of writing) in the game, was so much fun having a companion of sorts on the flagship for a bit. Having someone come with you to problem solve was really unique. Also please keep letting me torment Rayan Arroyo it's funny every time
in the albert heijn, the dutch are staring at me, im clogging up their bottle recycling machine for a 5 euro discount on soup, theyre handing me more cans instead of waiting their turn because "you look like you need them"
finally, some neriak; baorin, hasulvask, and free
members of the tasran race, masked and unmasked—honored guild members
maybe i should start posting some of the game tokens ive been making over the last year or so
weirdos and killers from the Free Worlds
impishly lowering the bitrate to minimum on the discord voice chat without anybody noticing and smiling as all of them start wondering why everyone sounds like they're speaking through a 1932 radio receiver
Now I'm wondering which ship has the best kitchen onboard, I could see the Lion of Sindria himself demanding that the Executor-class have only the finest amenities for their loyal officers...
Exactly this!! It's so hard to make everyone feel engaged and happy with it!!
starting to become convinced stealth and sneaking mechanics are impossible to implement into a TTRPG without either over complicating them or making them too exploitable
Drives me nuts seeing AI generated artwork and writing in media, always makes me immediately think "wow, you couldn't find a single human to do this?" It feels disrespectful not just to writers and artists but to consumers too, as if they don't know any better and can't sense it.
Decided to doodle my current caves of qud character, a marauder turned thoughtful pilgrim and ruins explorer, chasing after the trail left behind by my previous character
Star Trek The Next Generation scene. We're on ship and in a beautifully carpeted and panelled corridor. William T. Riker, usually in his red uniform, is shown here in his pajamas wandering the hall. He looks bedraggled and shluffy and a slightly deranged. Closed caption reads, "what to eat, what to say, what to think, what to eat."
the worst part of bsky so far is the amount of people just mindlessly screencapping the same shit that caused everyone to come here in the first place. fucks sake, i dont want to see your snarky comment about you-know-who and racist9000, i dont want to think about those morons at all!!! stop it!!!
I knew absolutely nothing about the games lore going into it, zero. And i was convinced to play the game by a friend and concluded ahead of time i wanted to play a big stupid moron barbarian woman to reflect my clueless ass, so femroe was a natural choice
It would be insanely cool to see some of the ships in Starsector as cross sections, or even just in perspectives that give you a concept of human scale. I always think about what it must look like inside something like an Invictus, it's a whole city! The luddics can probably fit a church in there!
what is this place
