and that’s how i learned how quickly i could down a $16 cocktail and book it out of somewhere
(there was not a second date)
lmao
i went on a date with someone who was like “i’m a little afraid to tell you where i work, i think you might judge me” and i was like “well now you have to tell me,” and they were like “it’s lyft,” and i joked “at least it’s not palantir,” and they were like “that’s where i worked before lyft”
i love these little guys so much; i don’t think it will ever not be mindblowing to me to just see them, like, flying around in a city park.
truth.
idk who needs to hear this, but you’re allowed to use a seam ripper to pull all the annoying labels out of your clothes.
there’s nothing a raisin can do that a dried apricot can’t do better
honestly, i have exactly the same complaint here.
in lieu of either frank’s or tabasco, and the heinz, they should’ve sent a green hot sauce, and a fruity habanero one.
it is a ketchup, imo
i just think they deserve better, you know?
it’s giving “guy hanging out on the sidewalk outside a bar he’s been 86ed from for sexually harassing the staff, insisting that the sidewalk is public property” is what it’s giving
“just ‘hangin’ around’” 😬😬😬
i say this not to brag, but because i want to make it clear that it’s not just the processed foods or car culture or pollution or lack of access to healthcare making our lives untenable in the united states.
it’s our culture.
and something needs to change in a big way if we are to survive.
i have better access to clean air and water, high-quality produce, and other things (like a walkable city and decent public transit) that are normal outside the us but not available to much of the population in the us…
and i still feel a meaningful difference when i leave, due to ambient stress.
i’ve been fortunate enough to get to leave the us for weeks at a time a couple times in the last six months.
i’m fortunate enough to be able to do this semi-regularly for the foreseeable future.
there is a perceptible difference in my emotional + physical health when i leave vs. when i’m here.
They are telling the world a story by putting their bodies on the line—a story about people clinging to the support structures that make their lives and their families' lives possible and livable.
You have more in common with the people of Iran than you do with anyone in this administration, any member of the technocracy, anyone who is profiting from this war, or any billionaire. When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.
might be a good place for rolling pin and other larger baking tools. (:
100% yes, and that’s okay.
does your oven have a drawer beneath it?
i so want you to have every happiness imaginable
nah, but i did put this in a self-review once

this is just to say
i have forgotten
to generate
the share
holder value
which you
were probably expecting
of me
forgive me
i was caught up
in dread
so existential
and so deep
We already raised $500 for one rent.
Wanna raise $2200 for a second rent? 🌻
imo green is best, yeah
i still can’t believe these ever existed, much less that they changed the name to “fads” before going “oh wait, we shouldn’t sell weirdly-flavored candy cigarettes to children”
i need to know what the five hot sauces are.
the language implied it was five *different* hot sauces
i just want to know what hot sauces they brought 🥺
tbh i don’t think i’d have made the joke if i thought anyone would fall for it
i kinda hate april fools; not a big fan of pranks and practical jokes most of the time
