#hugonominations Look like a great list. Lots of stuff I nominated and also loads of stuff I don't know. Going to be fun catching up.
I thought it was only me that couldn't see it.
We need at least 25 tickets sold for this event to go ahead, so all reposts are very much appreciated! Better yet, come along!

"Walled off" by Rhys Howell @ghop56.bsky.social is today's 75-word #story on Paragraph Planet paragraphplanet.com #flashfiction
Text box containing the following 75 word story. " Walled Off. She left me, as I’d known she would. Her parting words had been “You have to start letting people in”. Easy for her to say with her charmed life. She’d have built a carapace over her heart if she’d been hurt by everyone she’d ever known. Family. So Called friends. Careless lovers. Random Passersby. But mine wasn’t thick enough, her words still stung. So I bought bricks and mortar and started to build."
Proud to be the story of the day on @paragraphplanet.bsky.social today. Thanks to @failingwriters.bsky.social for leading me to Paragraph Planet. Go on everyone. It's 75 words. Give it a shot.
Morning. Currently working my way through the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. Book four is nearly done.
What's Green and goes camping? Brusell Scouts

I’m doing a bit of research for a potential article on reading habits of SFFH fans.
So, if you read SFFH do you also read other genres and if so, which ones?
All answers welcome and reposts appreciated for visibility. Thank you!
Same over here.
Oh is it science-fiction-shouldn't-be-political-o'clock again already?
It is. It always is. Writing is. Writing is a political act.
Possibly why tech bros want to take it away from us.
Keep writing. The madder the better. You mightn't hear the song you're putting out but others will.
Why does the media continue to use the word "Millennial" as code for "young person"? That's not what it means. It's literally in the name. A Millennial is someone at least a thousand years old.
When you donate to a non-profit designate it to “general funds.”
Trust us. The actual staff will always know where it is needed more than the Board of Directors or you.
Just once I'd like to hear from Britain's most compassionate head teacher instead tbh, I'm pretty sure they have a lot more to teach us than the horrible one ranting about the wokes
@ericaverrillo.bsky.social Just wanted to say Thanks for pulling all this info together.
Came here to see who got here first with this.
I've got a subscription to SFX and generally see what the scuttlebutt is on bluesky.
