it's wild how many publishers and distributors hold themselves back by just not answering their emails in a timely fashion. Big names too!

Going full shopkeep mode today, no more planning or purchasing. Be one with the shop.
definitely was a lightning bolt moment when it clicked in
Had our first reservation today! A couple booked a Nook table for two hours, brought in their own game, didn't use their credit, which is actually awesome because that means they are coming back.
It didn't really click into place until this week for me, but it just made so much sense as a way to ensure you have paying customers at the table, while bringing in guaranteed sales and new customers too.
The store credit model is fascinating. Your reservation fee converts into store credit on arrival. So essentially you get access to a table if you promise to buy something from the store. It's like a magnet for in-store customers.
a few folks came in specifically to ask about the tables, I finished up getting the booking pages live, and some one booked the big room 🤯
Had some people wander into the shop and look around and yes some people bought stuff. I think this thing is going to work fam

My days right now are about rushing from task to task based on my anxiety and balancing that against my energy levels to avoid burnout. There's a game in there somewhere.
👀 that 10 day forecast, looking OK for the opening 😌
I’m honored that Tom at @tabletopbookshelf.com asked me to design a poster to commemorate the opening of their new brick and mortar shop in the heart of Milwaukee, where I grew up.
I'm honored that you said yes
