There’s no secrecy, but it is an explicitly interdisciplinary edited collection that as noted before deals with the various intersections of music and literature, along the axis of class. Thanks for your interest!
Hi Kate,
It isn’t all about women composers. Rather it is a set of interdisciplinary, essays about music, literature, and class.
Thank you, Kate and I will keep an eye on what you are up to. And if and when our edited collection gets accepted, I’ll be sure to send you a copy of my essay on Lehman . Her In Memoriam setting is utterly brilliant.
Can you share your recent publications on Lehmann? I have written an essay on her setting of In Memoriam in a collection under consideration for publication. I have of course read Sophie Fuller on this composer, but would enjoy knowing what else you have done. The Dowie connection is fascinating.
Happy to announce that _Victorian women writers and the other Germany_ has now been published in a paperback edition.

Very proud to be part of this new issue
This is a very helpful thread re: the slashing of overhead rates on NIH grants. It is an atrocity and, as OP states, an attempt to decimate higher ed. This guidance goes into effect immediately, affecting not only future but also current grants, which is to say current university budgets.

I have finished only one chapter, on Levy‘s contributions to the Jewish Chronicle in the context of other contributors and secular Jewish writers, such as Helen Zimmerman and Israel Zangwill. On to the Newnham chp next. (As you can see, I am still trying to get the hang of short statements!)
