Sort of like a fart and a shart and I’m currently worried about our underwear

Weird to be on the tipping point of ‘best season in 20 years (maybe ever even) and ‘fucking disaster that poses serious questions about the project’.
Sums up all sport I guess
Whilst I don’t agree with the idea he’d have to go at all - I don’t think it’s insane that questions are being asked.
Again - not my opinion of Arteta - but there are a lot of managers out there good at the building up from a low base that perhaps lack the ability to take a club that final step.
Ha the algorithm might need tweaking
I just don’t understand why, when it was clear we couldn’t pass it out, we didn’t just push the entire team in the opposition half and fight for seconds with a long kick.
Instead we hoofed it up after 3 shit passes short to Gyokeres in a 4-1 situation.
Really worrying levels of dumbness for me
Yep same here! It might have just been timing of Eze still learning the system and Trossard being excellent at that point.
It’ll be interesting to see if there are leavers in the front line, if all are replaced or Eze becomes the more permanent option
Oh yeah completely agreed.
I am intrigued about Eze and Odegaard going forward though as I’m struggling to see Eze playing LW or L8 in which case it’s one or the other which feels like a bad outcome.
But next season could be completely different I guess.
I’d perhaps argue that it’s not entirely injuries that have stopped Eze and Odegaard from being on the pitch at the same time ever since Arteta stopped using him on the left
Also not really a second chance if he hasn’t paid the legal price for the first one.
Yeah really good point. Big personalities block others from coming through. I think Cunha isn’t very captainy (I actually don’t think Fernandes is either) but maybe others could rise up
I reckon it’s more a leadership thing. I don’t agree with it but they clearly think there’s a lack of leaders in the squad
Ha I thought the same thing - that Carragher headline is surely an oxymoron. If you want a team to win you’re no longer neutral.
Plus there’s a million side narratives that drive this kind of thing - like West Ham fans might want Rice to win (or the opposite oftentimes) or a million other things
Are the salt and vinegars still acid strength? Loved how strong they used to be
All of this with a backdrop of ‘This is why Arsenal are ruining football with a few corners’ when 2 of the big 6 have been cheating for over a decade each.
Also Arsenal had the rugby on on the concourse before their game. Is it acceptable to have ANY other sport on before a game on the TV?
I have a season ticket with my dad and whenever the game gets scruffy or there’s a bad throw-in he’ll compare it to watching ‘you lot’ referring to my team as a child.
I’m 35 making it 18 years since my last game. Does anybody else get this and how long will it be acceptable for?
How about Keylor Navas?
Ramos!
Casemiro would be one. Rodrygo and Vini I’m not sure were there.
Basically Brazilian Real players
Yeah agreed on that. I also think Spurs’ current hilarious situation will make it even more difficult. Makes it feel like nobody is safe from an atrocious season
This is all true - but still much easier than getting 14/20 turkeys to vote for Christmas.
I think even the top teams are happy with 20 teams in the league as those 4 extra games are worth big money multiplied across the league.
It’s because the cup is achievable. The chances of reducing the league is basically zero so barely worth mentioning
Should be the LW choice over Martinelli for me. Martinelli has been bad for a while now
I think I’m blind to the idea of overpowered passes because for years I’ve watched so many Arsenal players caress passes so softly the whole attack slows down and we see the horse shoe of death.
I actually thought the drifting was pretty decent against Chelsea but his final ball was off on the day.
The really good Eze chance first half came from drifting for example (Eze just took an extra touch that he shouldn’t have done)
Interesting - I find the signing strange if he doesn’t play there though?
Do you think Arteta thought Eze was going to be better at it, is thinking longer term, or always planned Eze to be central more than left sided?
Why do you think Arteta has been so reticent to trying Eze there?
It suuuuurely can’t be just the Aston Villa goal error still?
Anybody who puts more than one thing in the lockers for me.
Nothing stresses me out more than having to put your stuff in a locker behind your seat as yours is full and knowing you’ll have to wait for everybody to leave before getting your stuff at landing.
He also said it after his team scored 3 from set pieces which I like? Makes it feel like he’s clearly talking macro and not specific teams
Why do we insist on going long so often when under pressure? I know it might be tempting to do so but it feels like our front line aren’t built for it and it comes straight back. Isn’t this why we bombed out Ramsdale? #arsecastextra
