Blessed with a good thrift: 77 dollars for all these- the Harvard classics are 110 years old and in splendid shape. First time I’ve run into nozick in the wild too. The liberty fund copies are also from 1981- so the fund has only been around for about 21 years.

Feels weird to turn thirty today. Grateful for all my friends and support to let me do good work that helps lives

Right. And that dignity looks different but still stands for other people even if you think you’re treating them ‘dignified’ it’s not an excuse to other people’s humanity

Reunited with my thrifted Burberry trench coat + got gifted a Auguste Rodin ‘the thinker’ ring, and a ring depicting Michelangelo’s fresco ‘The creation of Adam’ and I can’t think of a more ideal end of 2025

Yeah it’s homemade eggnog this Christmas Eve. With homemade vanilla bourbon paste. Recipe in comments. Will just say if you attempt to make, please *slowly* add the alcohol while you whisk the egg. It WILL denature and effectively scramble your eggs if you don’t do it slowly

Theologians who put in sub par work writing about Jesus are held to a higher degree of rigor than that.

Similar style illustration: dark foreground, light background, framing foreground plants. We’ve got some sort of therapsid predator in the center foreground with Moschops-y guys resting further back.

Similar style image. This one has toilet seat-headed amphibians basking with their mouth open in a swamp. White mist obscures the landscape.

Putting zero effort into something and defending that you put zero effort only to have people back you up for doing zero effort is unreal

Rebecca C. Lancefield, Ph.D. 1918 eggnog recipe

**EGGNOG RECIPE, MAKES ABOUT A QUART/LITER**

1 cup (237mL) cream
1 cup (237mL) additional cream or milk
1/2 cup (100g) sugar
2 eggs
1 cup (237mL) rum
1/2 cup (118mL) whiskey
nutmeg for garnish

Whip the first cup of cream in a small bowl. In a big bowl, beat the eggs and slowly drizzle in the alcohol until incorporated — don't stop mixing, or the eggs will curdle. It's important to mix the alcohol directly into the eggs to kill bacteria. Mix in the sugar, un-whipped cream or milk and the whipped cream until smooth.

Transfer the eggnog to a vessel that will allow gas to escape and chill in the refrigerator for about three weeks — aging will kill bacteria and enhance the flavor. The mixture will separate a bit as it sits, so stir it back up before pouring into glasses. Sprinkle nutmeg over top, if you're into that.
