One of my college friends got a job working for P&G in marketing, and was pushing WOW! chips. After P&G pulled back on WOW! chips, they ended up with a HUGE amount of samples, which ended up with one friend having literally pallets of chips in his house.
Probably took several years to finish them.

#Bruce #Springsteen

Bruce really brings it. Shows are 3 hours (shortest of the 8 tours I’ve seen) but it’s powerful and doesn’t let up.
The man is 76 and doesn’t stop for 3 damn hours, and he’s righteously pissed off.
I needed the inspiration.

But I discovered that I could pay more for a similar house in a lower-tax town, or pay the same overall for crappy schools, or pay the same overall for worse commute.
I could have stayed in NYC, and if the unit next to my in my co-op was available, would have done so, because taxes/fees so low.

My property taxes are basically the same as my mortgage.
Yes, the taxes are 50% higher than they were when I bought 18 years ago, but they pay for a top school district where all kids walk to school, and all the kids go to the same schools starting in 3rd grade.

Mattingly hat 115 RBIs in '87. Almost 21% of those came on 6 at-bats.

Yeah, but Ye is from Chicago also. And you know Ye is on Trump’s side. And that the Pope is a Jew.

Was out for a bike ride Friday morning in a neighboring town and got stuck waiting for the Bike Bus. (About a dozen parents escorting 100+ elementary school kids on their bikes to school.)
Not sure what was the best part, getting a nice 17-mile gravel ride before work or seeing happy, healthy kids.

When I moved to my current town 18 years ago, I was amazed by how many crazy people were out running/biking every day.
Then I became one of those crazy people.
(Kids didn’t bike to school because it was so close, which I still don’t understand. They walked everywhere until like 15, then biked.)

Do you even understand population density? Fucking Russia is not overpopulated.
Do you eat paint chips daily, or is this a special occasion?

Trump basically disavowed her when she criticized his Dr. Jesus post.
So now the NYT can speak truthfully about her. She reached stage 5 of MAGA (getting stabbed in the back by Trump), so she's no longer to be protected.

Q: Can God park a car so parkedly that even he can’t drive it?
Youth pastor A: God can do anything!
IN LtGov: Except drive a parked car.

Always top off the tank BEFORE you get to the track day.
(And you’re only going to get 5mpg if you’re flogging it, so don’t think you’re good with 3/4 tank.)

I’m coming up on 20 years living in NJ, raised my kids here, all my friends are from NJ, fully claimed NJ maybe 10 years ago, and this thread is the deep NJ lore.

We have a Montvale & a Montville. Hell, we have a Glen Rock & a Glen Ridge, and they’re so alike socio-economically that when we played each other in youth sports, the parents weren’t sure which group was which.
(Seriously, it was disconcerting.)

The one in Clifton is the only one (that I know of) that had a messy murder for hire plot among the (closely related) owners.

My father-in-law got his first tattoo in his late 60s. Was up to big pieces on both arms and a serious back piece before he had a stroke. He regrets nothing, and would have more except his stroke took enough of his eyesight that he’s not sure what will look good.

I just opened one of those and was cursing it the entire time. It’s as bad as the gallons of milk at Whole Foods. (Exact same flawed design.)

Just going to say that the one time I was on a ship that ran low on food, the Supply Officer was relieved as soon as we pulled into port.
(Sea-time of 13+ months on 5 different ships 93-94.)

Went to Catholic school for grades 1-3, but no uniforms at all. (Radical nuns who wore Dodgers hats over their habits when Dodgers were in the WS.) Grades 7-10 in a very rural public school that literally would not let kids wear shorts. Moved to state's largest district, EVERYONE wearing shorts.

Least surprising thing is that this asshole writes for The Free Press. You know, the one, 'Honest. Independent. Fearless.' As long as those words mean the exact opposite of what hundreds of years of English say they mean.

This just seems to me like an extra step. Take battery out of Battery Daddy, insert in device, refill Battery Daddy from my shelf of batteries.
I'm sure that there are people who could deal with a less than completely full Battery Daddy, but I'm not one of them.

I know that this is marketed to someone like me, exactly, but I just don't see the utility.
Do I buy AA/AAA batteries 48 at a time? Yes.
Do I buy C/D batteries 12 at a time? Yes.
Do I buy 9V batteries 4 at a time. Yes. (Actually, no, because nothing uses 9V batteries anymore.)

Pants are too small. Way too many creases around the crotch.
Jacket fits well, and I agree it’s a great color, and a decent cut.
