Gus Wylie 1935 - 2026, best known for his work in the Hebrides, was from Lowestoft. At Royal College of Art 1959, he made photo essay of the demise of the Lowestoft fish market. He later made a sketchbook of East Anglian photos. His photos described as "thoughtful, caring, compassionate images".
Hawthorn likes to do it the other way round - leaves first, blossom second.
This blossom on this small blackthorn bush burst into life last week - intense white against stark black twigs and thorns, the leaves yet to appear - now it’s beginning to fade.
Artemis II You might marvel at the ingenuity, the technical wizardry and prowess. But it is tainted. All the technological advances and possible benefits that come with it, all that could be used for the good of humankind, lead to the revolting bombing of school children.

Daisy (the cat) came to live on the Suffolk coast seven years ago. Before that she had been living on the streets of Downham Market. She never talks about her past life, but one gets the impression it was a hard life, and that she’s happy now to be living in Suffolk.
