TORMENT: A GOTHIC ANTHOLOGY, is out today!
This collection of queer gothic fiction includes my short story, “Our Cavalier Consecrate,” and its art.
An unsealed demon struggles to escape the clutches of paladins, historians, and the severed stone head of his miserable ex.

Torment: A Gothic Anthology, curated by @ardentgrove.bsky.social, is out today!! I was a co-editor and have my own story in the collection, which channels my trauma from being raised AFAB in a conservative Christian society and was very cathartic to write!

Didn't really vibe with the Fatal Frame II Remake demo (whew, what a mouthful) 😔
I'm sure I'll get it eventually, but it doesn't feel like a launch day purchase.
Bummer! I was looking forward to it.

It's time for more Moonmist. Most contemporary players resent the paratext. Why is that?

Social media created this nonsense idea that not exposing yourself to hatred is isolationist. Choosing to not spend your free time with bigots isn’t living in a bubble. I don’t need to know what’s going on at X. I won’t be smarter or more knowledgeable or empathic by being there. Neither will you.
I'll be streaming some of the new Resident Evil game tonight at 830 PM CST. I try to keep these streams to 90 minutes.
I have avoided spoilers, so who knows what to expect!

Did you know? Tomorrow is the last day you can submit intent for Spring Thing 2026.
Spring Thing is my favorite IF event. It's unranked and has great vibes. If you've got a cool project going, consider entering!

Wow, that Village placement is bonkers
Album cover for the Guided by Voices album "Propeller" A simplistic, pixelated image of a propeller airplane over a black and orange background.

As fellow fans know, Resident Evil: Requiem releases Friday! I'll start a new playthrough Friday night at 830 CST over at Twitch, details to follow
It's hard to believe that that wint's "zero difference between good and bad things" tweet was in 2014
I think you could get closer with a limited parser game, because there isn't a lot account for, but otherwise, you have a lot of verbs to entertain (or not)
It would be hard, as a huge amount of text in a parser game is potentially optional. You can spend a lot of time on feedback for unproductive commands, or none. this was my last estimate
total project words: 133.5k
custom printable text: ~55k
critical path (no examining or failed actions): 29k
My current inform project will almost certainly pass the 200k-word mile marker.
This is more confession than brag.
i put liquids in my inform game, and then I spent two days writing responses for what basically amounts to trolling the parser
the impossible number of games that release on Steam every day has been discourse for years
why would anybody want to play a game nobody could be bothered to make
A couple of my Inform games fared well in the recent IFDB Awards polls. You can read my postmortems and find links to the games here:

I completed my Disco Elysium playthrough last week (it was great), so I've started streaming a very odd game called "Promise Mascot Agency." I'll be on in 45 minutes (830 CST) if you're interested!

I was hoping to shadow drop it right before Review-a-Thon but I don't think I can make it in time. It's just very hard to get something this shaggy into a state I can live with
My Inform project is up to 130k words (text and code together). I'm going to add at least a third more content, but I'm a pretty brutal copyeditor. Who knows how big this thing will be?
I also don't know when it will release, it just isn't an IF Comp game and Spring Thing is too soon
I'm only poring over these Moonmist transcripts because I love you.
