Giving a few people the power to make terrorism designations behind closed doors, and then conceal the reason for the designation is constitutionally wrong. On top of that, SB 1632 is so badly written and vague that it will surely be abused. These bills create a dangerous power that could easily be turned against churches, nonprofits, groups like the NRA or planned parenthood, or any group that’s politically out of favor.
