Good to see these around, they're a super valuable tool for new players.

Fair enough. I’m happy to answer where I can confidently answer good enough for the layperson, based on my experience with it. It’s tricky when there nuance or different perceptions are a factor. That’s why questions with concrete answers are better here than ones about a philosophy or process.
@unormal.bsky.social I gave it another shot and I geared up, level 21 at the furthest point I've ever been, but I mean come ON. 😭
Team implies a group of people have this as a dedicated job, group is a collective of people they can check things against. Sigh. It's really not worth it for me to answer questions if people are going to try and pull gotchas on me. Come to your own conclusions.
We have a narrative director who tries to keep coverage across the franchise, but there’s no team, just Kevin 😊
Haha yeah I remember us sneaking that VO in after the fact... games have a lot of moving pieces!
Nice! I know we use a service to publish music that then kicks it out to something like 70 platforms all at once. Load your files and metadata, then you're off to the races!
This is showing my age now, but sometimes I hear "Mojang Studios" to the tune of "Pop-Up Video" 🤷♂️

@unormal.bsky.social @jfg.land Is Qud's soundtrack ever coming to Spotify? Some of those tracks would be great to include in my gigantic Magic game night playlist. 🤞
I was impressed with all of the connections and references!
Poor nether though, no love 😂 It didn't add much story-wise, just gameplay, but it did have some visual throw-forwards to Legends!
You may also get different answers from different team members because it's a long-running franchise with a lot of different inputs. Thoughts on some of these things can vary internally.
The real answer here is "it aint that kinda game"; we don't have serious levels of canon like Star Wars or Marvel to prove or disprove facts.
That said, I'd still group Dungeons and Legends into the same category, and group articles whether they were on Minecraft.net or Switch. 🤷
All thanks to YouTube highlighting videos for me! 😊
I shared it with the team internally, too, as folks always can use a refresher after years, especially if they're new to the team, and we don't exactly produce these types of materials internally.
Hope that you're looking forward to more story! 😉
A fantastic deep dive on the story of Minecraft Dungeons www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5Ob...
I’m won’t do as good of a job as our narrative director, but I imagine lore being an exact chronicling of events and characters, and mythology being more nebulous. Like how Greek gods have conflicting stories but common elements. The player can decide which stories are true for their world.
Caves of Koilos/Qud/Nether. It’s like poetry, it rhymes? 😁
Only? 🤔 😁
@unormal.bsky.social I made a card to describe my experience playing Caves of Qud 😁
When I heard that George Fan basically did exactly this I went, "This is now the top of my bucket list."
I don't need to work there forever, but I want to design some gotdang magical cards.
I mean I already design them in my free time for fun. 😂
Oooh I run weekly, progressive sealed every quarter! But I need to know how you're doing it with 9 players, haha. I can't figure it out with either swiss or knockout, so I always run 16 players.
Lmao I and about 100 other people were gonna send this to you, huh? Qud crossover when 😂
I just came across this art, so I had to turn it into the full version of the card!
Aww, well I’m just a big nerd who likes cool people and hobbies.
I mean if someone has something I want, why not! 😁 Pokemon, cards, merch, whatever. I have cool things and so do some others.
Anything in my trades is available! Looks like one of the Tapus then.
@thebillyk.bsky.social Time for my first remote trade? :D I was thinking of trying to pick up a galarian legendary bird as lucky because I have one of each myself, and all three have awful IVs. Could straight trade for that to improve, or I have lots of other things available!
A bunch of gamers slinging cardboard spells in the Mojang Studios lobby
A countertop spread of Swedish easter foods and candy
Me raffling off prizes, standing at a raised table. As with all candid photos of me, my eyes are closed and I'm making a dumb face.
An intentionally obtuse, handwritten note stuck on the office front door that says "Unable to receive guests today... except if you know magic"
Last week I ran a 12 hour, 40 person Magic: the Gathering event at the Mojang office! Coworkers, friends, and local industry devs brought food and showed off their Easter-themed decks. We had a raffle with fabulous prizes, including Minecraft-themed tokens and playmats!
hah, I was just looking at this guy recently. Nice!
Ted Lasso makes me feel good. So does singing along to Hamilton! One day I will break that out at karaoke with the appropriate group and surprise them that I can sing Guns and Ships at speed.
Yes, yes, gooooood. Join us!
