FAIR found almost 32% online news coverage of climate change in 2025 than 2024. In 2021, 2.4% of US online news pieces contained the phrase “climate change.” In 2025, that percentage was 1.3%, a nearly 46% decrease.

NYT’s Excuses for Lack of Reporters in Iran Don’t Add Up The New York Times claimed that FAIR's article was a “false portrayal” of the Times’ work, but it failed to directly challenge any of the article's claims.

If the key criterion is that journalists must be able to report “without restrictions,” it’s unclear why the @nytimes.com allows reporters to report from Israel, which has always been under military censorship.
