Now that I work in a law office where clients are in some of the most stressful situations of their lives, my current best goodbye is a simple "take care."

I very quickly dropped my early attempts of "have a good one" and "it was nice to see you."

I'd say the southern part is that you're allowed more words in your greetings, might not flow as well in regions that expect fewer.

As a restaurant person who served a lot of people on Friday and Saturday nights, I naturally found my goodbyes evolve into "enjoy the rest of your weekend" after many years of workshopping.

It's a default script that works all shift, with the most positive responses and fewest negative ones

Very grateful to the villains with access who spent some of their political capital and other trump bucks to get in his way today.

It's not sufficient, the job's not done, but if you turn and go the rest of the way with us, I think you'll find people who only want a fair trial for your actions.

10/ All of this was totally foreseeable. Frankly, it’s why previous presidents weren’t so stupid to start a war like this.

Trump has lost control of the war. His best course now is to cut his losses and end it. That’s the only way to prevent an even bigger disaster.

Why naval escorts through Strait of Hormuz are so risky The U.S. has yet to begin escorting oil tankers through the treacherous Strait of Hormuz, something that increasingly looks like a high-risk proposition during the war with Iran. President Trump, w…

4/ What about naval escorts for tankers? This is a possibility, but it’s harder than you think.

First, it would require our entire navy. 100 tankers need escorting each day.

Second, if we can’t destroy the mines and drones, our ships are at risk too.

People have been ragging on Alanis Morissette's "Ironic" for 30 years because the scenarios aren't really ironic, but the thing is, they COULD be with just some minor context. For instance:

"It's like rain on your wedding day"

-both the bride and groom are the city's top meteorologists

Former Texas Lege reporter here. A Dem hasn't held this seat since 1990. Tarrant is the safest of red suburban counties. There is no way the TX and national GOP aren't in panic mode right now.
