trumpet creeper i will give him, it is very weedy and difficult to get rid of (we still have it. we have multiples now.) but, bright side, it's a native species, so that's kinda cool I think

we got rid of the golfball sycamore that was the centerpiece of my childhood :( it did need to go, it was not healthy by the time we cut it down, but I suspect it helped cool the house a lot during the summer, being on the south side of the house and all... if this were MY house id replant but nooo

.... but god. they knew landscaping so much better than my family does. previous homeowners i am so incredibly sorry my dad hates trees and varied plants and thought some of the intentional flowers were just icky weeds and basically thinks the whole yard should just be Lawn Only

sometimes I wonder how long id last if I lived some hundreds of years ago, like man, probably not long, I am so spoiled by modern life. yeah a lot of things aren't perfect but hey at least water is usually safe to drink so we don't have to drink beer for hydration and, like, we've got soap

fun to daydream about making my own farm sim, but even in my daydreams it gets complicated, because i'd wanna take the common themes of environmentalism and at least some anti capitalism and bake them into gameplay, like... no money, let's go anarchy, but you gotta make new mechanics for that

playing these games since I was like 8 does come with a downside though and that's me going "aw man this other farm sim handled this particular mechanic better :/"

it's fun, there's some mechanics that end up being more complicated than stardew, but also this game is soooo hand holdy for some things and doesn't go into enough detail in others. please I don't need a week long tutorial please ive been playing these games since I was like 8 😭

a while back I got some cute silverware and dishware from an estate auction and I felt soooo smart bc it was really cheap but at least one of the sets might have lead in it and so now im scared to use any of them. because what if there's lead though

i used to think my asthma would do me in but these days i think it'd be my stomach. i'd have to eat or drink something and my tummy would murder me about it

sometimes i wonder how long i'd survive if i was sent back in time. you'd think that with modern knowledge, like washing your hands, i'd fare better, but if i got sent back to a time where water generally was unsafe, would washing your hands just make matters worse??
