I finished For Whom the Bell Tolls yesterday. Truly incredible book. Hemingway is understated and forces you to infer characters' emotions until you get to the crescendos of the book and the effect makes those moments really hit hard.

But like you I’m not sure that a programming task with a painstakingly designed standard, formal and qualitative descriptions, tons of pedagogical walk throughs, and many reference implementations in the training set is a great analogy for all other programming tasks.

As an HIV hotline operator, I agree that the logistics are the most impressive part about this. I've heard people talk about trying to take a hundred loads in one day via cruising apps and even that level of planning is an unbelievably impressive undertaking.

It feels like a lobster trap to me. Once you’ve vibe coded something it’s basically unmaintainable by a human so you’re kind of stuck interacting with your code through that interface forever.
