> BWorks riders joined w/ SLPS champion teacher Ms. Lepper to guide an estimated 124 members of SLPS's Betty Wheeler school community safely and sustainably to school this morning ( #bikebus!);
> another BWorks crew gathered with other students in Carondelet Park for a Day 3 lesson focused on street safety and one-handed team tire changes;
> still another crew of volunteers and staff smashed through more projects at our soon-to-be HQ as we continue to prepare for BWorks' next chapter;
> our teachers capped off six weeks of classes at Venice Elementary with a neighborhood graduation ride before sending 11 BWorks graduates there home with their bikes, helmets, locks and lights;

But not all tears are pain -- like last night, when a mom was moved to tears seeing her son pedal independently for the very first time.

We on occasion have to work with tears. Sometimes it's a skinned knee while learning to pedal or to give each other the right amount of space on a group ride. Sometimes it's a bike donor letting go of an old stead, or even a supporter remembering a loved one they lost. 1/2
