What a beautiful week to be celebrating Earth Day! Caring for the world around us is at the very heart of BWorks' mission and operations, and it's a great day to look at what those activities look like on a given day. Over the past 24 hours... 🧵
Sometimes we insist the @stlbworks.bsky.social kids learn to change out a bike inner tube with one hand, like this afternoon's crew at Hartford Public Library They did amazing! :)
But not all tears are pain -- like last night, when a mom was moved to tears seeing her son pedal independently for the very first time.
Congratulations to this newest bike riders in town for getting up on two wheels! 2/2
We on occasion have to work with tears. Sometimes it's a skinned knee while learning to pedal or to give each other the right amount of space on a group ride. Sometimes it's a bike donor letting go of an old stead, or even a supporter remembering a loved one they lost. 1/2

Correct, as well several groups have asked for no enforcement for traffic……
Pinned with rebar.
This was a bus parking space. So anger might be better placed on several tries we give engineers to get this infrastructure correct.
Wait till folks realize we just installed miles of this paper clipped to the asphalt infrastructure that could be removed overnight.
Wait? You mean to tell me that we designed and installed infrastructure to protect people that was designed to be easily and quickly removed with a single phone call?
Just over here shocked beyond belief.
