The Great Green Wall's one of the world's most ambitious eco-projects. Is it working? It's a global effort with a multibillion dollar price tag. Among its aims: re-greening nearly 250 million acres, planting 4,000 miles of trees, helping farmers, creating jobs, sequestering carbon.

The “Great Green Wall” in Africa was a bold and inspiring idea. It was supposed to be one of the biggest environmental projects in history.

But, sadly, it's not working as hoped.

What went wrong? Here’s a good summary.

China Lifts Green Push With Plan to Double Clean Energy by 2035 China will seek to double its supply of non-fossil fuel energy by 2035, in a plan that analysts see as a boost to Beijing’s green targets.

If you are worried that China is beating us, then take a look at this. China is investing heavily in renewable energy. The USA is fighting all forms of green energy.

Reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and diversifying our energy sources could help us get ahead.

It could prevent wars over oil.

If you're curious about drought conditions, here's the Canada Drought Monitor map until end-of-March (it's updated the end of each month). Nova Scotia is still experiencing some moderate drought & New Brunswick has a large area of severe drought. It'll be interesting if April rain changes things!
