A few years ago, I made a short comic about a changeling's journey to find the Witch of the Plains to ask her to make him human again.

I just got a notification that my student loan payments are starting up again and my phone isn’t charged. My cousin got COVID for a fourth time and can no longer work or walk or even feed himself. The person across from me on the L train seems to fashion themself a punk rock revolutionary, but they’re not wearing a face mask, and that’s the kind of cognitive dissonance that makes me want to steal batteries. Fascists keep winning primaries for both parties, and I think I gained a few pounds. (cont in comments)

Start small. What CAN you do where you are? Can you pick up trash in a park? Can you help an old person get groceries? Can you volunteer somewhere?

Really living up to my favorite saying, "one step at a time"

Idk I guess this is the 4th day of the cursed app detox

Considering how I get physically disabled every once in a while, I really have to invest in a proper cane (been using tall umbrella).

Last year around this time (only a couple months later), I was disabled for about a month due to pinched nerves in my back. I guess healing from that was what made me really motivated to be active attending literary events last year. I thought, I have to utilize my body optimally while I'm able.

I tripped and injured my legs and head last night. My left ankle hurts much worse since this morning, it's difficult to move and it hurt hurt hurt. If I don't get better by this weekend, I'll have to skip upcoming events for a while.

I'm worried that I will miss announcements of bookish events I'd like to attend, but I guess I'll just keep updated with the ones announced via Instagram.

I found myself treating this place as a shelter whenever I feel that Xwitter is no longer a space to feel safe. Too much dark jokes with horrible taste since the Indonesian election quick count results surfaced, they only make me angrier. I'm also disappointed that my friend also reposted them.
