there are movies that drag on, there are movies that are boring during one act, there are movies with a terribly boring buildup so much so you feel you’re wasting your time. and then there’s The English Patient. do you wish you could slow down time? watch this movie. half an hour will feel like 2 hours and one hour will feel like forever. don’t get me started on the fact this movie is 2 and half hours. I spent most of the movie’s run debating whether walking out to go and take a nap at home or just taking a nap in the theatre room is more disrespectful (don’t worry, the room was almost entirely empty anyway save for myself and a couple). the acting is so flat at times that it further takes me out. i just can’t care any less about this movie but i feel i’ve wasted my time enough to warrant this review
