Seeing the latest round of industry layoffs, it's just making me feel that, as comic creators, we all really do need to unionise.

Maya is one of the best in the business. Professional, kind, and always learning. She was a delight to work with and, in my opinion - as a writer with a ton of marketing/pr/biz dev experience - would be a great addition to any publisher looking to up their game. Hire her!

I am genuinely glad I took some time to just enjoy reading some books for the sake of it this weekend. And I wasn't disappointed.

I have needed some time to just dive into comics. Working as a letterer I do get the opportunity to read so many books as I work on them, but there is sometimes a certain level of detachment, and you forget just what it was that drew you into the medium/line of work at times.

I also read the first 2 volumes of @kierongillen.bsky.social @stephaniehans.bsky.social @claytoncowles.bsky.social & @rianhughes.bsky.social DIE.

It is simply stunning stuff. Rich. Dark. Contemplative. Epic in scale & scope. Raw & honest. I didn't know just how much I needed this book.
