Inconvenience? I just had to dig seven pages deep to find the unsubscribe for one of the four TV subscriptions I need, I'm measured & optimized against in my supermarket, lamps, music, games, and travel. Every service I love gets enshittified to buy billionaires yachts worth 100 times my house.

It, again, truly doesn't matter whether vibecoding actually caused the outages or not - when you start bragging about how claude is making every engineer on staff more productive and the site goes through months of persistent downtime, that's a Statement.

The separatist petition signing is today at the Big Four Roadhouse. Someone went to to check it out and take some photos. They aren't allowing photos though so they were immediately kicked out.

Abolish ICE is not enough.

Stern words for Greg Bovino or Kristi Noem is not enough.

We need prosecutions and trials.

Anything short of this position fails to address the gravity of this moment.

ICE murdered Renée Good in broad daylight. Less than 3 weeks later, they killed Alex Pretti, shooting him 10 times. Every day, we watch as people are ripped from their cars, their homes, their lives.

We can't allow ourselves to look away from this cruelty. Abolish ICE.

recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best.

It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.

This new war is not only illegal, reckless and deeply corrupt, it is the latest in a series of increasingly desperate distractions from the EPSTEIN Files.

This isn’t about “saving alberta”.

The same folks pushing separation to save Alberta from “Canada’ collapse” are also advocating for Quebec to leave Canada.

This isn’t about Alberta.

It’s about destabilizing and destroying Canada.

A dark, moody photograph showing two human hands gently holding a small cardboard cutout shaped like a house with two square window openings. The background is blurred and shadowed, emphasizing vulnerability and care. Overlaid white and orange text reads: “Proportional representation creates the conditions for ending homelessness.” Below, in orange text, it reads: “The research is clear. Proportional representation supports broader coalitions, stronger social insurance, and long-term public investment. These are the foundations of effective homelessness policy.” In small white text on the right side it reads: “Source: Cusack, Iversen and Soskice.” At the bottom of the image in white text it reads: “Learn more at fairvote.ca.”

Homelessness persists when policy resets every election.

Proportional representation supports durable coalitions and long term investment.

That stability is what makes real housing solutions possible.
