"Let's hire the guy who built the worst Dortmond squad in decades to work alongside the guy who built the worst Tottenham squad in decades!"
We are not run by serious people.
The fact that Lange still has a job is mind boggling.
Patel is totally going to try to use this in his LOLsuit against The Atlantic by claiming the judge said him being at nightclubs isn't true, which is going to be hilarious.
"Only the heir to the throne of the kingdom of idiots fights a war on 12 [fronts]"
Londo Molari, Babylon 5.
I would submit that a gerrymander by politicians saying fuck the voters and one by voters saying fuck the politicians are two wholly different animals
Not enough random ALL CAPS, too many sentences that stayed on topic, and weren't run-ons.
Editor definitely should have sent that ine back for revisions.
I just checked clearsky and I'm on it. Go me!
Yes
A group of Ecuadorian fishermen survived a US drone strike, were detained at gunpoint, phones wiped, ship blown up, disappeared to El Salvador, then released without charge. “They knew we were fishermen. Even the Salvadorian authorities said things had been handled very badly.”

Fisherman. We're blowing up fishing boats.
The implicit media consensus is that urban voters should not be able to overrule rural voters, but that rural voters should be able to overrule urban voters, an assumption so axiomatic and unquestionable that nobody even understands they're making it.
It was Waffles
I hope you can!
Yup. Both Broadway versions have tried to make the bloodied part from noble self sacrifices rather than from arrogant obsession / beligerence / insecurity and it makes the second act an awkward mess dramatically and lyrically.
Nicholas Christopher and Aaron Trevit are still worth seeing live.
That worked a little better in person because they set it up that she was already fed up with The American's antics right from the off she came across as angry earlier rather than more suddenly coming undone. Prefer the original way better as well but it worked live.
It's most evident in "Endgame," where the music is written for "Everyone involved is super pissed at everyone else" and it doesn't work if they're not, no matter how you change the lyrics. But Broadway can't let go of Love conquers all in some way, and that's just not how the music flows.
Exactly. They're sympathetic but not in the way Broadway wants characters to be sympathetic, and tragic in a way that Broadway doesn't want them to be tragic.
It was still 100% worth the price of admission, especially for the male leads, who were phenomenal in their performances. (I agree that Leah approached everything the same way, which really worked for "Nobody's Side" but didn't for other parts)
It wants someone, anyone, to be a hero, and that just doesn't work with the original music score, because the original is three characters who are fatally flawed in ways that blow up their lives irreversibly.
Saw it on Broadway. It worked better than the original that I saw on tour back in thd 90's. But as I described it to a coworker, it's a show with one banger song after another that simply can't get out of it's own way in its need to be a Broadway show in the second act.
A poster with a colorful stack of books on the left and this text on the right: “Hey, Teenagers: Pay close attention to the books people try to ban. Then, make a beeline to read those books, if you can. Find out for yourself why those people want that book banned. Find out for yourself if they can be trusted to know what’s best for you.” ~ Jeff Zentner

💔 I'm so sorry.
Yeah, definitely smart targeting the site where "Pete Hegseth should go to the Hague" is the conservative positions.
